Very Disappointed With This Purchase
I purchased the Hyper scooter from Target for my child’s Christmas gift, and I’m extremely disappointed. The Target employee bought the box out to my with a large hole in it, and when I asked him about it, he brushed it off by saying he didn't do that. I trusted that everything inside was fine. On Christmas morning, when I opened the box to assemble it, I realized immediately that this scooter had been returned and put back on the shelf. The scooter was worn in some places, the protective coverings were off, and there were no screws, bolts, or hardware to attach the wheel! There were no instructions, no charger, and the seat wouldn’t even lift! The only things in the box were the scooter body and one wheel, nothing else. Purchasing an expensive Christmas gift that your child can't wake up and use on Christmas morning is is stressful and upsetting. This product should not have been placed back on the shelf and sold in this condition. It must have been repackaged, even though it was clearly damaged and missing essential parts. This caused disappointment for our family on Christmas morning. I hope Target takes more care to prevent this from happening to others.

Hyper Retri Scooter - don't buy.
No not buy- Bought in November 2024 for a Christmas present for my granddaughter. They kept scooter inside during the cold winter - didn’ get to ride until April - battery only lasted 3 months and the 6 month warranty started on the battery when I bought in November. New battery is $68.00. I would not recommend - Hyper was not helpful at all. It was a good deal but a bad buy.

Works for us
I bought this for my 9yr old daughter for Christmas and she has used it about 2-3 time a month since then. We haven't had any issues with the battery and it holds a charge longer than expected. Since it can hold up to 170lbs I figured it wouldn't hurt for me to take a spin on it and it was pretty fun, except my legs are just a smidge too long for it (I am 5' 2"). We bought it before black Friday so we got it for about half the advertised price, but I would easily pay full price for this scooter. The only downside is a small one, but the seat compartment can be a little hard to open at time.

We bought 2 and the battery life dies pretty fast. We charged them +6 hours each and one of them doesn’t last more than 10 min. I will be returning the 2nd one. Overall i like them i just wish the battery life lasted longer, they are exactly as shown on the picture. I was able to ride it (135lb). They also go pretty fast.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. We followed directions and charged 12 hours in advance. It did not work. We charged for another 24 hours, and it did not start. I checked all the connections and everything looked fine. Tried to contact the manufacturer directly and their customer service seemed non-existent. The phone message was to go online for chat. Online chat was showing zzz like asleep. Contacted Target directly as they had no other in stock. They did not answer the phone, most likely because it's the day after a holiday. My daughter spent all day worried about it not working. What a bummer on Christmas. Would not recommend.
