Watch out for falling objects

I decided to buy this umbrella because of the pin locking feature, which works great. Unfortunately 4 of the flimsy umbrella ribs come in two pieces, and the lower portions fall out randomly! They would not hurt an adult but could easily harm my 6 lb dog. For me, the value does not match the risk. If you buy this, add some duct tape to your cart…

Attractive and nice shade

The umbrella is very large, does well in the wind, and gives a lot of shade. I can’t speak to longevity since I just got it, but I’m hopeful it won’t rust since it says it’s made out of aluminum and is located very close to the beach. The crank seems to be made of plastic and I hope it’ll last since it’ll be protected from the sun when the umbrella is closed. The shade is a cream white and the pole is a dark brown.
