The Best Fan Ever

Over my life time, I have purchased several Hunter Original Fans. The Original is absolutely the Best ceiling fan. Keep your receipt of purchase in a safe place for replacement, if your fan ever stops working. It does not matter how old, a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend Hunter Original Fans because of the nostalgic look and durability factor.

Will NOT work with sloped ceilings out of the box

The instructions very clearly say that this fan can be mounted on a sloped ceiling up to 34° with the included hardware and canopy. This is NOT correct. This fan can only be mounted on a flat ceiling out of the box. The included canopy does not accommodate any slope whatsoever only a flat mount with a dowrod perfectly perpendicular to the ceiling........their instructions are INCORRECT, specifically page 3 under "Angled Mounting" where it says "If your ceiling is angled greater than 34° you will also need an Angeled Mounting Kit". Frankly if you ceiling is angled more than about 2° you will need the kit. The included canopy certainly did not work for me with an 18° ceiling slope......really wish I had know before I mounted, wired, and oiled the fan......now I have no real solutions except to undo everything. Continually disappointed in Hunter - for the next 6 fans I need to replace I will pay the premium and go with Big A fans....

Hello, we apologize for any confusion. If you have a Hunter Original fan and a sloped ceiling, you will need an angle mount. For other fans, an angle mount is only necessary if the slope is greater than 34 degrees. Keep in mind that for a sloped ceiling, you will also need a longer downrod.
