I have a number of Hunter Fans (true originals) that are approaching 50 years old, and are operating perfectly. When I needed to add an additional fan to the 6 already in place, I would not consider anything other than the new "original" model, in the 4 blade configuration. It was installed professionally yesterday, and looks and performs at the same incomparable level as my other fans. It is the only choice for applications where appearance, air movement, and longevity are important.

I have a 1980 hunter original and it runs super well although it is an outdated model I still love it

I love the hunter original as a vintage fan collector but I wish it was compatible with a school house globe

This is the quietest fan on the market. The only cosmetic issue is that it is mounted on a sloped ceiling and the cover at the top of the downrod does not tilt. There is a gap on the high side.

I have a Hunter Original Fan that is > 25 years old. It is the finest fan and continues to run 24/7 for the last 23 years. There is nothing like the Original Fan. There is nothing like this fan.

The original Hunter fan is perfect as a ceiling fan that blends perfectly with the surrounding walls and ceiling!

I purchased 5 of these fans when I restored a 125 year old home in Key West Fl. They truly are the best you can buy, I think I only added some oil to the motors after the 10th year, they continue to perform beautifully.

The Original is an excellent fan. It is silent, does not wobble and circulates air well.

I have seven real original fans that I installed in my house in 1982. Most of them run year round. The only issues I have had with them in 40 years is I have had to replace about four of the wall speed controls and I need to get some balance kits to touch up the balance a some of the fan blades. My units do not have reversing motors. The blades are reversible. A little oil every few years and a good cleaning from time to time and they just keep running.

High speed is medium speed for most other fans. The CFM for this fan is 7560 Cubic Feet Per Minute but doesn't move the air on high very fast. For such an expensive fan a weighted Hunter knob on the pull chain should be an automatic. Pull chain by itself is all that is included.

I recently got this fan about a week ago and I just love it so much. I have always liked the design of an Original, it never goes out of date. It's very quiet, moves a ton of air and you can just feel the quality built in the fan. I love that the blade arms are now cast iron to match the motor housing material. I also just really like this new motor tag. When I saw photos of this fan I wasn't too intrigued with the blade color but let me tell you that it looks better in person. I still think the light gray oak side is the worse of the two, only because I feel like the blades should give contrast to the fan. But over all I love this fan, I love how modular it can be and I just love how robust and high quality it feels. If you are thinking abut buying this fan or any Hunter Original, I encourage you to do it. It will last you a life time and you wont be disappointed.

It is much more stunning in person than it is in the pictures.The finish and coloration is just beautiful and very well made! I love the remote control feature so you don't have hanging cords to deal with. This fan is very functional and efficient, well balanced. It is very quiet and circulates air really well. The instructions were easy to understand and It was nicely packaged and everything fit together and worked correctly.
