Extra cables for laptop connection.
A nice easy to use laptop for home general use. Comes with camera, speakers, microphone, and other useful features including AI. Only short coming is not being able to connect to many devices at same time at home such as disc drive, flash drive. internet via cable, external mouse all at once due to not enough open ports. This is common with laptops because of size, but is easy to overcome with certain extra easily found cables.

Ease of Moving from older OMNI Book laptops
The transfer of my desktop on older laptop to the OMNI Book was effectless. I was surprised at the ease of loading apps: Microsoft Office and McAfee.

Very happy with my HP laptop—reliable, fast, great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very happy with my HP laptop. It runs smoothly, starts up quickly, and handles everything I need with ease, whether it’s work, browsing, or streaming. The build quality feels solid, the screen is clear, and the battery life is reliable. Overall, it’s been a great experience using it, and I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a dependable and well-performing device.

Awesome hardware!
Like the HPs I’ve purchases before, it has an awesome, strong chassis with good sound and a full backlit keyboard. Unfortunately, Windows 11 comes with Microsoft’s full array of invasive software (Bing, Outlook, “Family Safety,” etc.) that you have to get rid of.

Sufficient
It's ok after power up. It actually takes longer than my (very) old Win10 to boot up, and sometimes I have to hit the power button several times before it does anything (which makes me very nervous that one day it won't start). But overall it works fine once it gets going.

OmniBook5: A Perfect Laptop
My new HP OmniBook5 is perfect! I have owned numerous laptop computers over several decades, and this 16-inch-screen OmniBook5 is absolutely the best one. A few of the best features include the following: Backlit keyboard; NumPad that works with Windows as it should; emoji key; specially lighted keys for sound being off and power button location; easy typing on the keyboard; large letters, numbers, etc. on the keys; pop-up notification for NumLock on/off. I also like the fact that this laptop came with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD and that it has the full complement of ports, including HDMI. The setup process was seamless and quick -- no glitches. Finally, the price: very low cost to this wonderful laptop computer. Overall, a wonderful product!

Pros & Con
This is the fourt HP laptop and they have all been quite functional - primarily used for MS Office applications (sometimes multiple apps and multiple files at the same time - Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook). Occasional simple games while waiting on the phone. One issue with this new OmniBook 5 - the 'Copilot' key position seems to have displaced the CNTRL key on the right and is positioned so that a 'miss' using the left arrow brings up Copilot - a pain.

Disappointed
Purchased laptop almost two months ago and still continue to have wifi connectivity issues. Device will not connect, or will disconnect from wifi, even when other devices in the immediate area do not. I already had one lengthy session with support, but issue has yet to be resolved. Also, Outlook software provided did not allow for easy transfer of data files from old to new laptop. Geek Squad was unsuccessful after trying for two hours, but I was eventually able to find someone with a complicated work-around that was moderately successful.

Not worth the price
The laptop feels cheap, the after closing it and opening it for a month the screen edges leave a dirt print on the bottom part of the laptop. For some reason its hard to plug and unplugged a HDMI or the charging cord from its ports. The display changes colors all the time and its very uncomfortable, horrible white colors and not so vivid colors on the images. I can see light that may be cause by pressure on the display while urning on the laptop. In the software are I feel it has

So far, I am not loving this computer. It randomly freezes regularly and has to be turned off. The laptop also restarts randomly. I have adjusted the settings, and nothing seems to help.

Bright screen, smooth performance, strong battery,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OmniBook 5’s bright 16″ display is sharp and easy on the eyes. Performance is smooth for daily work, and software runs reliably. Battery life is strong, lasting most of the day. Fan noise stays low, though it rises slightly under heavy tasks.

Fast little laptop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP OmniBook 5 16″ is a standout in its class — striking the perfect balance between performance, portability, and value. Powered by an Intel Core i5 (likely a 10-core or newer generation), it delivers a smooth and responsive experience whether you’re working on documents, browsing the web, or multitasking heavily. The 16 GB of RAM ensures that switching between apps is fluid and lag-free, while the 512 GB SSD offers fast boot times and ample storage for work files, media, and more. Its 16″ display gives you more screen space for productivity and media, making it ideal for both work and streaming. Thanks to a lightweight chassis, the laptop remains portable despite its larger screen, and the build feels solid enough for daily use. Battery life is reported to be good — with a full day’s work within reach for many users — and fast charging (via USB-C) helps when you need a quick top-up. Connectivity options are generous: you get a mix of modern USB-C ports (with DisplayPort), USB-A, HDMI, and Wi-Fi 6, covering pretty much anything you need for peripherals or external displays. The Full HD IR webcam is a plus for video calls. On the downside, this laptop isn’t made for heavy-duty gaming or GPU-intensive creative work; the integrated graphics are serviceable but limited. Also, while the screen is great for productivity, its colour gamut may not impress professional designers or photographers. In summary: The HP OmniBook 5 16″ is a well-rounded laptop — ideal for students, professionals, and anyone who needs a dependable, everyday workhorse. It offers powerful performance for productivity tasks, a roomy screen, and long battery life, all at a competitive price.

Nice laptop
We bought our HP laptop to do some work using the internet. The set up was easy!!! Very important for nontechy people. ;) a lot of questions popped up while setting up. Some I wasn’t sure of, could I go back later? Was it a one time thing? If not…. Where you find it again? It would be nice to make that clearer. Great screen size. I’m happy with it because I can do what I need to.
