Three weeks into using my new laptop and it is as good as I expected which is very good. It is an upgrade on my previuos machine which was getting on a bit so not unexpectely this one is quicker all round though at a very good price. If there is a downside it would be the ports. I still use devices older USB connections though there are easy work-arounds.

I much prefered windows 10 operating system.
I bought this laptop about a month ago, going.from a windows 10 laptop. There is nothing on it that makes me glad that I made the move from windows 10 as things are a lot smaller now, including the top ribbon etc. When I brought it I took out the 3 year home warranty, but I was disappointed when I received the invoice, as your agent who sold the package to me told me that it was for 4 years! I am also disappointed in the battey time, as in the product specification it says it will last up to 13 hours, but i am lucky if i can get 8 to 9 hours! I much prefer the old Window 10 laptop operating system!

The Right Laptop
So happy with my new HP. This is replacing my old 15.6 pavilion laptop which I had for 6 years. This laptop is lighter, runs quiet, has the backlight keyboard and touch screen...what more could you want. Perfect for working from home.

Nice Laptop
This is a nice laptop for every day email, web surfing, social media, etc. It is light weight, was very easy to set up, and I especially like the backlit keyboard. This next part is more of a food for thought thing, than a criticism of the laptop, as I really do like the laptop alot. We lefties have learned to adapt over the years, but if you want true feedback on things...here is a sticking point for me. This is the second HP laptop I have purchased in the last couple of years and the only thing I really miss is the CTRL key on the right side of the keyboard, as I am left handed and it makes it awkward to use the CTRL key with my right hand while selecting (mousing) with my left hand. It appears that the key was replaced with the AI key....not sure if this is an HP thing but would love to see the second CTRL key return to the right side of the keyboard.

HP Are Reliable Computers
We've stuck with HP for computers and printers for years, because they are reiable. The one I just purchased has one of the qualities I look for in a computer which is a backlit keyboard. I thought it also had a touchscreen, but sadly, it doesn't. I am only going to use it as a back up, if something goes wrong with my current laptop, because I prefer a computer with a touchscreen.

Very nice inexpensive laptop
I bought this during a great sale specifically for portable amatuer radio use. The software isn't demanding, but light weight, good WiFi, a clear and bright screen, a familiar keyboard layout and othr features that this laptop have were important. I use 2 EliteDesk 800s in my home office and my main laptop is a 16" Envy with the i9 processor. Fro what I use it for, this seems just as fast. The screen is not a 4k, but the laptop weighs a lot less. I think this is a great laptop for what most people would use one for. At 62% off the full retail price, this is almost a must-buy item. performance and features right in the middle and a price down at the bottom. I have had nothing from HP computers for years, including an ultra lightweight but slower 16" with the N200 processor. There was nothing wrong with that laptop for indoor use, but the screen on the new OmniBook is soo much better in outdoor light (with shade) that I had to buy it!

Easy to use, sleek and modern
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had a new laptop in 7 or so years, and am I happy that this is my upgrade! I love the backlit keyboard, it makes it easy to work in lower light. It's fast at loading up programs and the screen is crisp and sharp. It does everything I need it to, much faster than the beast I was using before. Easy to setup, charges quickly and is pretty lightweight

A powerful and reliable 16" laptop with smooth performance, ample storage, and a large display ideal for everyday productivity.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the HP OmniBook 5 16" Laptop for both work and everyday tasks, and it has proven to be a reliable and well-rounded device. The 16-inch display is a standout feature-large, clear, and comfortable for multitasking, whether I'm working on documents, browsing, or streaming content. The screen size really enhances productivity without feeling overwhelming. Performance-wise, the Intel Core i5 processor paired with 16GB of RAM delivers smooth and efficient performance. I can easily handle multiple applications at once, including browser tabs, productivity software, and light creative tasks, without experiencing lag. The 512GB SSD provides fast boot times and quick file access, which makes daily use feel responsive and efficient. The laptop's design is clean and professional, with a sturdy build that feels durable yet not overly heavy for a 16-inch device. The keyboard is comfortable for extended typing sessions, and the trackpad is responsive and accurate. Battery life has been dependable, lasting through several hours of regular use, which is ideal for workdays or studying without constantly needing to recharge. Overall, the HP OmniBook 5 is a great choice for professionals, students, or anyone looking for a dependable laptop with a large display, strong performance, and ample storage. It strikes a good balance between power, usability, and design, making it a solid option for everyday productivity and multitasking.

Great laptop
I bought this approximately a month ago. Up and running very quickly. Good, solid laptop, keyboard feels nice in use and is backlit. Does what I need and having opted for the i7 processor should give me a good few years service.

Great style !
I’ve only just set up my computer and I’ve not really explored all it can do yet . I have had an HP laptop before and that’s why I stayed with the same brand. Ease of use and the graphics are so clear and a good brand to buy.
