Q: Are the glider pieces removable or are they permanently attached?

A: They can be detached, but it’s worth noting that only the karts pictured with the gliders have/can use them. The bottom row of karts do not have gliders and cannot use the other gliders pictured. A closer inspection of the product images shows this, but I was under the impression that they all had a glider attachment and/or their own gliders. I’m also not sure if the gliders can stay on while racing on the rainbow road track. It seems like they’d have to be removed prior to racing, which makes them kind of pointless if you ask me.

Idea is cute however not durable at all. Open this yesterday for Christmas grandson was extremely excited. After the 3rd race princess head came off and Mario wheel is defective. For the price unacceptable.

Great addition to our rainbow road
My 3 year old begged for Santa to bring him the rainbow road track. It only came with 2 cars, so this was added to his wishlist so favorite characters could be included to race. All cars fit on his rainbow road track and go down it perfectly fine (without the umbrellas). They roll very smoothly and are heavy enough to take the fast turns and not fly off. The umbrellas are easy to remove, almost too easy, and can come off if dropped. Each character looks exactly as they should even in their small size. One star was removed as I felt these were overly priced for 8 small cars. They are over $6/car compared to $1-1.50/car of other Hot Wheels packs.
