A: The Dartwood Candle Warmer has a clear glass lampshade, meaning the glass is transparent and colorless. It does not have any tint — the shade is simply clear so you can see the candle and bulb inside. The rest of the lamp includes a wooden base, metal stand, and uses GU10 halogen bulbs (50 W max).

A: In my experience, yes, but it also does depend on the type of candle and wick. I feel that using a warmer is better, less soot in the air you're breathing and the smell is much cleaner than burning.

Safer than burning candles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a HOM employee. I’ve been using this warmer for about 2 weeks and it’s working good. It melts the candle evenly and the scent spreads well in my room. The timer helps a lot so I don’t forget to turn it off. No smoke, no fire hazard.

Awesome little light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this, I've used it every day since getting it. I put a small Pyrex bowl under it with some wax cubes, it melted it like a charm, the aroma it puts off it's great, I love that i can set an auto off timer, so I don't forget to shut it before leaving or bed. Don't have to worry about the kids or dog knocking over a candle and having a give house fire.

Buy 2, one for you, one as a gift
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice candle warmer. I don’t know this was an option until I came across it on this site. We love candles but the open flame is a hazard with young kids around. This is great because it had a timer on it. I can set it for after dinner, when it’s nice to clear out the food smells, and have it turn off by itself around the time to go to bed. This would make a great gift for the candle lover in your life.

Warming lamp
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this a few days ago and discovered that the candles we have are too large. So we bought a smaller one. The lamp is well made and looks nice. The smaller candle was a little too small, so we raised it up and the wax melted and we could enjoy the aroma. It’s better to get larger candles (but not too big) rather than raise smaller ones. It has adjustments for time, comes with 2 bulbs. It does get hot, so keep away from young kids. So in summary, this works well but you need to use candles sized correctly.

A nice touch of ambience for the home and none of the smoke from a traditional lit candle. The aroma of the candle is still strong with just the heat from the bulb,
