Worth it - best one we've had
The house was surprisingly fresh and sturdy. It comes with only a bag of icing, which was a good amount and a decorators bag. For the candy it only came with a tiny bag of candy lights, however, once I bought some of my kids favorites, they had the best time. This is the first time our kids actually ate the house. To be honest I tried some of it as well and maybe snuck a few pieces as I added a few lbs to my waist this holiday season. Definitely worth it and not sure why others had bad reviews. We’ve been doing gingerbread houses for about 20 years (when my husband and I were young) and this was the best one yet.

The icing was liquify and some hard spots in the icing. Ruined my 11 year olds decorating. Waiting for what we were able to salvage to dry up so tomorrow I can try and scrape off and salvage the house for her.

No longer comes with decorations
We have bought these for several years for the kids to decorate. They used to have multiple bags of different things to decorate it with. It now comes with just a small bag of icing and a small bag of little hard candies. What a disappointment!

Highly recommend these houses! They smell like they were freshly baked and have plenty of icing and even a piping bag which is a game changer. Only recommendation is purchases more candy as it only comes with a bag of colorful lights.

Convenient and sturdy- but order extra decorations
I loved that this gingerbread house came pre-built and it was sturdy enough for enthusiastic toddlers to decorate at a party. The time that I saved and the convenience of having a pre-built house made the price worth it for me. However, there were very few candies and decorations with this kit. I anticipated as much and ordered extra cookie decorating kits from Target to add to the house, but shoppers who are expecting to be able to decorate the entire house with the included icing and candies may be disappointed.

Super hard-chipped daughter's tooth
Good size but one came damaged. You cannot see the house in the box so cannot know if it’s broken. Also it’s so hard it chipped my daughter’s front tooth and made her other front tooth loose and painful. I took a bite and couldn’t believe how hard it was. Also doesn’t taste good.

Used to be my go-to, now is lacking
I have been purchasing this gingerbread house for the past 4-5 years. I have steadily watched the quality, and offerings, go downhill. For the price, it should come with more items to decorate it with. I think it is now very overpriced for what is being offered. I understand I'm paying fo rhte convenience of it already being built, but I think that is too high of a price to pay for it.

My house full of Christmas guests loved these. They’re put together in a very stable way, none of them came apart, and the icing that came with them worked very well for decorating. I did buy a lot of extra colored icing and candy, because the candy that comes with them is pretty tiny and not very much. Surprisingly, they taste very good. A couple people didn’t take theirs home, and I broke them up into gingerbread pieces the size of cookies, and brought them to an event, and people loved them.

Prebuilt gingerbread house
The gingerbread house is great. The packaging is crap (in a clear plastic bag). The first I got was broken. I exchanged it, no problem. When I went to pick another out there were several on the shelf broken. I mean, the clear packaging allows you to see the house and if it’s in good condition but also the reason why so many are broken.

Like that, it is premade but skimpy on icing bag and decorations
The fact that it was already premade made decorating these so much more fun because we didn’t have to spend time putting the house together. It came with a very small amount of candy so you will need to get your own. Also, the reason this is not five stars is because it does not come with a tip on the piping bag. Incredibly hard to use so you need to buy your own icing as well. You’re basically just getting the house for this price.

The Best
I've been a mom for 18 years. I've decorated, or overseen the decorating of, my share of gingerbread houses. This year, I tried another competitors "pre-built" gingerbread house. I ordered 8 and every. single. one was broken. So I went back to these. They are somewhat pricey, especially when you are buying 8, but I'll never assemble another gingerbread house. So I'll be buying these again next year. Let one thing just be easy :) Also, I have no idea if these taste good. No one ever eats them.
