Heavy enough for a stong wind that our umbrella won't fall and pull the table with it. Just what we were looking for! The heavier ones are too hard to move and the fillable ones, too much trouble. This one is manageable.

This is a very substantial base. It would have been perfect but the hole on my table was too small and had to return. Sure would have been nice if it had fit. It looked like a really nice quality base. I still haven't found the right one to fit my table. It was on sale so was a good value.

Great umbrella base
First I bought a 26-pound base that tipped over in a light breeze. I took it back. Next I bought a huge base that would weigh 100 pounds when filled with bricks. It was so big that I took that back. This one from Target, however, is just right. It fits nicely under my table, is unobtrusive, is easy to assemble, and holds the umbrella steady in the wind. Assuming that it doesn't stain the deck when it gets wet (the jury is still out on that), this is the perfect base for a 9' umbrella. Ahh, shade at last!

Finally my umbrella doesn't fall over every time the wind blows. This is very sturdy product and a good find for my needs. Glad that target.com has such a great selection of products that you can not find in any store any where.
