Defective part with bo manufacturer answer
So I have a feeling I would love this high chair if we could use it properly. The item came with a defective screw so I can’t secure the leg correctly. I’ve emailed and called the company based on the information in the manual. It’s been two months and I can’t get an email response or call answered. Target gave me a new email and number to try today so hopefully I can get through to someone. Hopefully I can come back an update this with a glowing review after the issue is resolved. But for now, since I can’t even use it or get through to the company, I’ll leave it a one star. Pros- looks easy to clean, seat looks comfortable, the tray comes off easily

Assembly nightmare - really, why??
I’m not one to write reviews &/or complain much about anything, especially assembly, but man what a royal pain. Like the other reviews here, directions are vague, you have to pay extremely close attention to every direction of every peg, peg hole, screw, lock pin, angle and sequential step with nothing but photos to try & follow- which isn’t totally abnormal for these types of things- but they made this one WAY more difficult than it needed to be. I’m pretty handy & have an acute attention to detail putting plenty of things together over my near 40 years, but this one takes the cake. Pro tips- Do not try to put the other side together before assembling the seat & don’t completely follow the how-to videos online because it gets things out of order, and you have to back track multiple steps. This took me close to 3 hours to assemble. Nothing should be this difficult. Laughing at the comment someone made about how they would rather walk 10 miles barefooted on legos than have to assemble that again. They’re right- it’s at least a close 2nd. I debated taking it back apart & doing my own how-to on YouTube to go viral since every other option out there is terrible, but it’s now 1:00am & the barefoot Lego marathon sounds more pleasant. Haven’t even tried this thing yet & already disappointed. Only thing going for it so far is the solid feel once it’s built. But again, don’t tighten it down too hard too soon or you won’t be able to finish putting it together. If you want to adjust the foot rest, you gotta loosen the bolts & slide it out & retighten at least 2 of the bolts holding the whole chair together. Straps also seem like they’ll be a waste due to the design of the 4 point harness completely falling apart every time it’s unclipped.. lastly, this thing has ZERO foldabililty - no tuckin it away anywhere when it’s not in use. If space is a commodity this one’s not for you. Wish I could rate this one higher, but I’m less than impressed.

Not for the chunky babies! Regret!
Regret buying it! Not for the chunky babies, my baby is 20 lbs at 10 months old. Getting in and out is a pain.. it looks tight on her legs, she can hardly move when sitting. I hope i can return but it’s already assembled.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your Arketa+ Set. A couple of things you can try so your baby can be more comfortable. The leg openings for the seat reducer are adjustable. Try opening them by adjusting at the back of the seat reducer. When loading your baby into the highchair try taking the click tray off when putting them in from the front of the highchair. If putting them in from the back of the highchair, have their body in an "L" shape to better guide them into the seat reducer. I hope this helps! Thanks, hauck Customer Service Team

This highchair seems to be made of quality material and it is very sturdy. BUT whoever wrote the assembly instructions deserves jail time. One of the most confusing instruction booklets I've ever seen and I've built a lot of furniture. Otherwise the chair seems great (just bought today)

Love the design and how small it is. Perfect for a smaller kitchen and has multiple settings which is amazing. But I would absolutely rather walk 10 miles barefoot on legos than put this together ever again. What a pain in the absolute head. Not easy. Instructions suck. Maybe I’m dumb but this took me 4 hours.

Love it but not for sure how long
What we love: aesthetically pleasing, solid, foot rest for feet while baby is eating, easy to clean tray, comfy and my 6 month old baby loves it. What has been hard: it’s not easy to put together at all, and it’s super tight like I can’t imagine how my baby will be able to fit in it in a month and she’s small now 15lbs 26inches.

The perfect high chair
Love it! Easy for me to put together. The wood is very sturdy and doesn’t ding easily. Doesn’t take up a lot of space. Easy to wipe down. It gets baby in the perfect position and baby is very comfortable. Prefer it for multiple reasons over stoke Tripp trapp, especially bc this one really doesn’t tip back. We have the older version of this (alpha) and while it was great and looks like new after 2 years of daily use, this version has a lot of improvements.

assembly is a nightmare
I have no idea why some people said this was easy to put together. At this point in our parenting journey my husband and I have put a LOT of baby items together and this one was a NIGHTMARE. There are no words on the instructions, only pictures, and not very good ones. Ended up watching a "how to" video on the hauck website but that one had completely different instructions then the manual which made it even more confusing.
