Hastings Home 5-Tier Bookshelf - 50" Tall, Pickled Oak Wood Finish

This is the most sorry excuse for a shelf I have ever purchased. I can't imagine it cost more than $4 to produce, materials included. Every single piece has a knot, splinter, hole or other blemish (see photos). It weighs less than 5 pounds. I purchased a white shelf and it literally looks like someone dusted baby powder on it (see photos again- how is that white?? Or painted at all????) I'm so sick of companies false advertising everything. Like you literally cannot purchase anything without an 80% chance you get a completely different product that's obscenely cheap. Even on sale this is the biggest rip off I've ever received. Target should be ashamed to be selling this. Anyone should. It cannot be that hard to make a shelf that isn't made of plywood and chalk, and they know after I put all the effort of putting it together (got 4 splinters btw) I'm not going to take it apart, load it in my car, and ship it back, so they win and I'm a sucker.

I wished I liked it better! The wood color is not the warm walnut color as shown. It is more like a gray/brown color. I also wish the wood was thicker. The wood stands flex downwards when you press down which makes me nervous it won’t be able to hold much.
