My cat is obsessed with this. He loves it to pieces.. but it routinely sheds strings, and pieces of cotton. Thankfully my cat doesn’t eat those bits that fall off, but I’d be nervous to leave him alone with it. The bell (dangerous!) especially can come off if the string breaks. So he only gets to have fun with it if I’m right there with him. With that in mind, it’s a good value. I definitely would not want to leave him alone with it.

Cats loved, but dangerous!
So I think I’ve bought 3 of these & my cats LOVE them, but I will not be purchasing another due to it breaking. I found the bell & what was left of the bird on the floor without the string. Then found the velcro in another room & no string in sight. Been watching both of my cats because I had a feeling one of them ate the string because it was nowhere to be found. I have lost a cat before from them eating thread from a sewing machine. Well, I just found what looked to be a hairball & the string was in it. While I would’ve given just 1 star, I’m giving 2 just because my cats did love it & I hadn’t had an issue before. Not willing to risk it again

cat broke it immediately
my cat loves it. I didn’t really know where to install it (It doesn’t say where to install it so I just assumed a doorknob). I guess I was correct because it was perfect height for him to jump up and grab the toy, but he broke it within three minutes.

Cats love these, but beware of scratched doors
I rated this five stars because my cats absolutely love these! Thing is, if you're going to hang it from a doorknob and your cat has claws, them chasing this thing means they'll scratch the heck out of your door. So either protect your door, or hang these from somewhere you don't mind your cat scratching, like on their actual scratching post. That's what I've done and it's worked very well.

Dangerous!!
This toy is very dangerous! The elastic is very thin and breaks easily. My cat broke the elastic and ate it and the velcro. She got very sick and was throwing up everywhere. I took her to the vet for fluids. Then she threw it up. This could have ended very differently. Please do not buy this toy. She loved playing with it, but it is not made well!

dangerous!!
ive bought this twice and both times my cat easily broke and ate part of the elastic string. she thankfully passed it but it cost me $800 for vet visits and x-rays. she almost needed surgery! she enjoyed playing with it at first but please please be careful and supervise your cat if you buy this.

Well made, cute, clean cat toy
Engaging little toy. My cats have shown little interest so far, but that's just cats for 'ya; you never know what's gonna work for which kitty. The toy itself, is a good value. It's made well (I always run a firm hand along any toy before offering to cats, to check for loose feathers, strings, ect). The velcro strip is handy in relocating the toy. Be aware, the elastic string means business. Test the elastic before kitty tries new toy, especially with grabby cats.

I bought this for my cat, by the end of the first day he took the bird off the string. I thought it was a fluke, returned it and got a second one, within 30 seconds of hanging it on the doorknob he ripped the bird off again. Dont waste your time/money.
