The recommended use for the 4Ever DLX car seat is when using rear-Facing with 5-Point Harness, your little one must be 49” (125 cm) or less: 4-22 lb (1.8-10 kg) less than 1 year old MUST be rear-facing. 22-40 lb (10-18 kg) should be rear-facing. Forward-Facing with 5-Point Harness your little one must be 49” (125 cm) or less: 22-40 lb (10-18 kg) can sit upright unassisted can be forward-facing. 40-65 lb (18-30 kg) should be forward-facing.

A: My son is four months old and have to move the seat up alittle because he is to big for the straps to be on the lowest setting so do I still need to keep the infant insert in or can I take it out? The bottom insert seems to bother my sons back and is making him uncomfortable

A: Check with your hospital. We delivered in NY and they REQUIRED us to bring the baby carseat in so they could wheel me and baby out in a wheel chair. They wouldn't allow my husband to carry the baby nor would they allow me to walk. A big car seat like this has to be installed while it is not occupied. I hope this helps!
