The speed of the GKS kids scooter is locked at a safe but fun 10mph. The Compact 25v.2 Battery and 150 Watt electric motor powers the GKS for up to 7.5 miles per charge. New Safe Step Technology - Both feet must be placed on the scooter before the motor will engage, giving your child time to position themselves before it the motor kicks in. Buy Square Trade

Buy the insurance for this item. After 120 days of use the battery went and is not covered by GoTrax’s 90 days warranty and a néw battery costs $74.99 vs the $119 we pod for the scooter. The insurance cut us a check and we were able to buy a different scooter.
