The cooking directions are designed to assure food safety and to deliver the highest quality. We have developed deep fryer directions for other Gorton’s fish and shrimp products but if you do deep fry the fish sandwich be sure to fully cook the fish to an internal temperature of 165˚F or higher before serving.

The aroma straight out of the oven/fryer was inviting — a classic mild seafood scent that wasn’t overly fishy, making it appealing even for picky eaters. The appearance is nice and golden with an even coating that looks crispy and well-breaded, giving a restaurant-style vibe. Cooking was easy and quick; they heated up evenly with a nicely browned crust without drying out the fish inside. The bite is satisfying — the fish inside is flaky and tender, while the outer coating stays crisp without feeling greasy. The breading has a good texture and thickness: crunchy enough to hold its shape on a sandwich but not so heavy that it overpowers the fish. Tasty, good product

They were breaded with bread crumbs which I also like very much. It's not thick or heavy. The breading did not flake off and the packaging was very appealing to the eye.

As Good As Fresh Captain D Fish Burger

I loved the breading, it crisper up just right in the air fryer, and the fillet itself was flaky and moist. They were a little small, so I'd recommend using 2 for larger buns. Luckily we used standard hamburger buns, and we weren't disappointed!

Quick tasting meal

The quality was excellent and noticed from frozen to fresh quickly while oven baked did not notice any chewiness. I followed the instructions on package. I did mark one star down as while the fish was excellent these are very thin patties with more breading than fish.
