Good Earth Sweet and Spicy Herbal & Black Tea - Case of 6/18 Bags

This used to be our favorite tea ever, however over the past year something has changed . no matter how long we Brew it for, or how many tea bags we put it's very weak not the same previous bold flavor. Please bring the old formula back.

I have been drinking this tea for 20+ years. Other people recognize the smell, associating it with me. This last box I bought taste like nothing. It’s so disappointing. Like others said, mine has a green box on the top and says it is manufactured in UK. Please change it back!!

I've been drinking this tea every day for years. Last two times I purchased it it isn't the same. Very weak. It used to be almost too flavorful but now almost tasteless without adding sweetener. I sent a bach back for replacement but the new stuff is the same. Unfortunate. They ruined a fantastic product. Will have to find another tea.

I thought it was just me, but the original blend has lost its incredible taste. I’ve been drinking Good Earth Sweet & Spicy Original blend for over 40 years, ever since discovering it at the Good Earth Restaurant in Westwood, CA. I’ve bought tea bags and bulk tea over the years and have always enjoyed a strong cup almost every day. The last few 6 packs have really been weak and don’t have the strong taste I’ve always enjoyed. Please bring back the original taste!

What did they do to this tea? It's gotten worse and worse over the past couple years. My most recent box is so weak that I decided not to buy this again. Also the wrapper now has to be wrestled open cause of the plastic liner.

I have been buying the sweet and spicy tea for over seven years. It has been my favorite beverage for just as long. Just recently, I had to stock up again, so I bought a box of the original sweet and spicy. Sadly, I found the flavor a mere shadow of its former self, even after I steeped the tea for over 10 minutes. I might as well just drink straight up generic black tea. I’m greatly sad about this, and I will not be repurchasing

I can’t believe the change of taste in my recent box of teabags! My husband and I used to My husband and I have been drinking and loving your Sweet and Spicy tea for years! My husband told me the other day that tea did not taste the same…not as flavorful. Even hearing that, I was shocked today when I had a cup of my favorite tea…sweet and spicy…and it wasn’t just ‘less flavorful’, there was no taste. We are so disappointed !!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point, I won't risk purchasing this ever again!

I found this tea a few years back & have been drinking the caffeinated version instead of coffee every afternoon. It helps keep me focused at work & also calm. I noticed last week that it tasted different & I wasn't as calm as normal. I looked at the ingredients & low & behold, no rooibos OR cinnamon oil. Come ON! Bring back the original recipe for those of us that loooooooove it!

WHY DID YOU MESS WITH MY FAVORITE TEA???? I want a refund, but I want you to change it back MORE! I hate that it sucks now. You took out rooibos and cinnamon oil? ...and didn't think we would notice? unbelievable. Marketing fraud....trickflation....how could you? my latest order of 6 boxes (as I always order it by 1/2 dozen boxes) wants my money back.

Began drining this tea at the Good Earth Santa Barbara restaurant in 1975 and frequented the Pasadena, Carlsbad & Studio City locations until the last location closed in 2013. Bought the loose leaf 10lbs bags until 2013. Pleeeeease bring back the loose leaf option!!!!!!!!!!

I,too, have been drinking the original sweet and spicy for years 2 times a day. Since the beginning of the year or so it has been unflavorful and bland. I tried different water and different lot numbers with no improvement. Something has changed and I no longer care for this product. Totally disappointed.

The Good Earth tea is the sweet and spicy and is delicious! I was very happy to be able to order it online.

What happened to all of the flavor? Did you change the recipe? Please bring back the original Sweet & Spicy.

I have been drinking this tea ever since I was a young girl and we used to go to the Good Earth restaurant in the Clackamas Town Center in Clackamas, Oregon. It was my absolute favorite restaurant, and when it closed I was delighted that I could at least still enjoy my favorite tea of going on 30 years now. I had about 10 bags of the original left in a tea tin I keep in the fridge for freshness.i recently bought a new box and it was so weak in flavor compared to the original. So I bought another box, and same thing. I came here to see if the recipe had changed, and see all the comments from others stating their same experience. I can't express my disappointment....I drink this tea hot and iced all the time ---- it's my favorite. Or at least it was. Harney and Sons has a delicious Hot Cinnamon tea that is similar, but it doesn't have the orange or rose hips. However, it is much more flavorful and spicy than the new Good Earth "original" I loved so much. If the recipe has changed for good, I definitely will stick with the Harney and Sons versus steeping 2-3 of the Good Earth tea bags just to try and capture that spiciness I crave. Heartbroken tea drinker here!!!

I have been drinking this tea for several years on a daily basis. In the last 9-12 months I am guessing, this tea is not the same. My impression is the ingredients have changed as the flavor is bland and has lost that something special. Lost a long time customer unless they bring back the REAL original. I hope they publicly announce that they revert to the old recipe.

Since about 2024, the taste of the sweet and spicy original and Decaf changed considerably. There is no longer the spicy kick, and I have resorted to other brands now.

I have been a daily consumer of this tea (original sweet and spicy) for over 30 years and think it is the best. However, I immediately noticed a distinct change last year, with the tea tasting bitter and weak, and figured out it was on the boxes with the green rectangle expiration date. In the meantime, I was luckily able to find a few stores that had the original tea before this change and I really stocked up, but now all I can find is the tea with the green rectangle on the box. I appreciate the reviewers who have noticed the same issue and seem to have pinpointed it to a change in manufacturing location. I actually sent an email to the company and am hopeful that they return to the original recipe. The original tea was wonderful (five stars) and this change is very disappointing (1 star), and I'm currently looking for an alternative.

i was to happy to find this again. i used to love this tea. the perfect amount of spice and less sweet. now its over sweet and not enough flavor. why did you change a good thing??
