While you CAN read this as a standalone you are doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t read God of Malice and God of Pain so you can truly love all the characters. Jeremy is a mafia heir ready to fulfill his legacy and Cecily is the good girl best friend who takes care of everyone. Throw in some rough intimate scenes giving you some major steam 🫠 I loved everything about Jeremy and how he really lifted and helped Cecily through her trauma. You gotta love his stalker role! He was also not pushy in the sense that he would leave Cecy alone until she showed interest in him by a text message or checking on him after the fire. Ces annoyed me a lot. Jeremy always put her first but she couldn’t understand why he had trust issues. I mean she DID spy on his home and she DID think she was in love with Landon. I’m just saying, he stepped up for her a lot in this book! I loved all the cameos of the friends, parents and POV chapter from Xander and Adrian. So happy we saw mentions of Uncle Kir even if he never actually made a scene. I really appreciated her bringing back the parent narrators which just made the listening experience PERFECT!

Great reprint, love the colorful sides! In my opinion, the best of all the Legacy of God series. Simply my favorite.
