Glass Wall Shelf with Silver Brackets - InPlace

The glass doesn’t secure tightly into the fixture.

The glass looks nice, it's thick and heavy. I did not care for the mounting brackets though. In this picture, a person could easily think they are made of metal, but THEY ARE PLASTIC, so just be forewarned about that. I was able to get the shelf up relatively easy, had no issues until I moved about 6 months later and wasn't able to get it up again. The brackets aren't already attached to the glass, so you install the brackets into your wall (use anchors if you need to) and then slid the heavy glass piece into the brackets and tighten them. My issue the second time was that they didnt seem to want to stay tightened enough to hold up such a heavy sheet of glass. I gave it more than several tries but I am glad I didn't force the brackets to tights too much, as I see one reviewer's glass shattered and she was cut by glass. Another strange thing I will add is that there wasnt any directions really in my box. There was a number to call if you had questions but it just went to a voicemail that seemed a little... strange for a business voicemail. Anyway, left a message when I was having trouble and I never heard back.

Very very happy with the glass quality. Brackets are ok. The ones in the photo are brushed steel brackets. Glass 5 Stars. Brackets 3.5 Stars.

Nicely beveled shelf. A little tricky to get bracket tightened, but made it work. Sturdy, looks nice

First one we got the bracket broke in half as we were screwing it in. Had it replaced and then it was missing a piece. Did some tinkering because I was sick of returning and waiting. It's ok. Wouldn't buy again

It matched a shelf I already installed. This why I ordered this particular one. Great quality, looks terrific and no problems with it, even though it is glass, I have ordered another one, different size.

Great quality, especially for the price. Nice thick glass and sturdy holders. Great for the bathroom near the sink or above the toilet!

If there was a negative star, I'd use it. The shelf has a serious design flaw. Glass does not seat well on hard plastic surfaces (no non-skid rubber bumpers in this set!) nor can the flimsy brackets be adequately tightened without breaking or bending. Ultimately, the bracket bent and glass broke during the install. (FYI--I do a lot of DIY projects including hanging similar shelves in our previous house.) Also 'tempered' glass isn't supposed to break into tiny shards; that's part of the reason it's used. Not so for this shelf. I left the blood out of the pix but had to toss my anti-stress kitchen mat full of unremovable tiny shards.

This was easy to install and work well in my bathroom over the toilet.
