Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Terrible pilling!!!

Do not buy. Sheds and pills horribly!

This sweater was beautiful soft. My granddaughter fell in love with it. Fabric quality is a ZERO. Today was the first time she got to wear it - to church and then for our afternoon family Christmas celebration. Only one wearing and it pilled terribly, even on the inside that was against her skin. I have posted a photo of the front of the sweater but the back looks just as terrible. The inside sleeves had whole pieces peeling off - like wads of lint from the dryer vent. Returning.

One time use! Pilled immediately upon wearing. I followed directions to clean it and was even worse when it came out of the wash. Poor quality which is a shame because my daughter loves the look of it. I love Cat & Jack clothes and this is my first time in 8 years of buying their clothes that I was left disappointed.

The reason for 3 stars is that they are very cute and despite the pills, my daughters love how soft they are and have received a lot of compliments on them.
