That's a very common experience with nightlights designed for kids—they often have a built-in timer to save battery! Based on the design of the Gems Squishy Duck Pat Pat Lamp (and similar models), the way to make it run continuously is usually by using a specific switch setting on the bottom of the duck. How to Disable the Timer You will need to flip the duck over and look at the physical switch on the base. It typically has three positions: OFF: The light is completely off. 30 (or 60): This is the Timer Mode (30 or 60 minutes). This is likely the setting you are currently using. ON (or just a power symbol — ): This is the Continuous Mode. To have the lamp run all night long, you need to push the switch on the base from the "30" (or "60") position to the "ON" position. In the ON position, the lamp should stay lit until the battery runs out or until you manually turn it off (usually by tapping/patting it until the light cycles off). Love this ducky light!
Such a fun light for kids and grownups alike! It doesn't dim enough to be a nightlight for our teen, but the brightness is great for using as a reading light. I love the little legs that wiggle off the edge of the shelf, amd the color changing feature works well by squeezing the ducks butt. It comes with a cord to charge but needs an adapter block to plug in. It charges pretty quickly and lasts for quick a while, especially if the 30 minute timer is used. Would definitely recommend!

Adorable little duck night light!
Duck-duck is our most beloved night light right now. My toddler loves to easily change his light by tapping duck-duck (and yes that is what we call it). I appreciate that there is an off bottom on the bottom so duck-duck can be turned off! And the duck itself is squishy so it’s safe to be around.

Cute duck
Cute duck, cool concept, I just had trouble with the initial setup. The sensor works off of pressure, so you need to get it *just right* in the base of the duck. It's not that it's hard, it's just not intuitive. The glow is just right, not too bright, not too dim

Great nightlight for the bedroom
We all absolutely loved this little duck "Pat Pat" lamp! It is so cute, and the light is soft (think nightlight, not lamp.) Every time you pat the duck the color of the light changes, there are multiple color options. Now everyone wants one for their bedroom!

Super cute!
This soft, little duck light is absolutely adorable. I keep him on my desk and it’s just so cute! The charge lasts a long time! I like that you can choose to have itshut off after awhile to save battery life. You can pat him to switch through the colors, many to choose from. This would be great for a kids room to give off a little glow in the night.

Kids love it
I got this for my 5yo, but my 8yo and 11yo also laid claim to it. They've been using it as a "lantern" at night and it's plenty bright. It doesn't dim as the box suggests, but the different colors are different brightnesses. The timer option is nice to remind your kid to stop reading and go to bed but you can also just leave it on. There are a lot of color options or 1 setting that cycles through. My kids like to flick the beak to change the color. They've put this thing through the pages including throwing it... The light portion came out (large enough to not be a hazard), but it went back in easily and kept working. We've had it a couple weeks and so far we haven't had to charge it other than the initial time though we haven't left it on all night. Beware it does not come with the block to plug into the wall, just the USB cord. And you have to hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on/off, it's not just a tap.

Super cute & durable
I ordered this to use as a night light for my 2 1/2 year old nephew. Although I only planned to use it as a night light, he and his one year old sister played with it all weekend. It was taken apart, stepped on, chewed on and stolen by the dog and still works and looks brand new. It's rechargeable and has a timer and does what it is supposed to do.

Soft, cute lamp

Adorable Duck Lamp
This Squishy Duck Pat Pat Lamp is adorable. It is made out of a soft silicone material which is unique and durable. I like that it is portable and can run up to 8 hours per charge. My favorite feature is its dimmable touch controls where I can adjust its brightness to my preferences. Charging is quick and simple and charges with a usb c cord that’s included. This lamp would be great for kids bedrooms or as room decor.
