Started leaking immediately - no help from Garvee
This gas caddy is a great concept, if it would not leak and if proper parts were supplied. The bolt to hold the handle to the pump is not long enough, so it keeps falling off. I can find another bolt, but there are bigger problems. I took it to the gas station in the bed of my truck, put 30 gallons in to start, and went home. Once I got home and started unloading, I saw there was a pinhole leak in the weld on the back side. Now there is gas leaking into the bed of my truck. So before I can even unload it, I need to start pumping the gas into our other vehicle just to get rid of it. Our other vehicle didn't need much, but I put maybe five gallons in. The syphon pump works good, but also leaks. The metal insert at the end of the hose where I was pumping gas into our car, also leaks. So we have gas running down the side of our car, down the top of the caddy from the pump, and also from the pinhole leak in the weld joint. I am more than frustrated at this point. I have 25~ gallons of gas left in this caddy that I have nowhere to go with, so I'm forced to let it slowly leak out. I waiting a couple weeks before leaving this review, in hopes that I would get some help from Garvee. Had they helped me with this claim, I would have left a positive review. But they have done nothing. I emailed them on 4/15/24, 4/19/24, 4/22/24, 4/23/24, 4/24/24, and 4/25/24. The only response I have gotten (once) was some garbage in broken misspelled English stating that the appropriate department will review my claim. Shop with Garvee at your own risk.
