Feeling fierce
I have never had my hair turn out this well from a box. This product is amazing though I would like the ability to buy the anti-brass conditioner that comes in the box separately.

Packaging is deceiving
My daughter has dark brown hair, and I have light brown hair. We both used this product, and our results were the same - orange. Neither of us got anywhere near some kind of blonde, let alone platinum blonde. I understand results will vary, but ours were way off. Very disappointing.

Very unhappy with the new formula
So they changed not only the bottle color but also the formula and not for the better. I was happy with the color shield conditioner before they changed it, my hair felt and looked healthy and sleek. Not so with this new formula, my hair now feels like straw, will not use this again.

Not enough in one bottle to start with. I put it on my natural non dyed hair, after I had grown it out for over a year, and now it’s blotchy, yellow, and ugly. My hair is about a foot long and only the first inch of roots really picked up the dye, just a little bit though. I’ve been dyeing my hair for over 12 years and this has never happened to me. Not happy with this trash product.

It's clear this is not user error, but a profound product flaw that caused such a distressing outcome. The issue of "not enough in one bottle" for a foot-long hair, leading to only the first inch of roots picking up dye, is a fundamental problem. Would not recommend
I was looking to even out my grays. Front is almost white and wanted to lighten the back. I followed the directions but did not read any reviews until my hair turned yellow. How can I fix this? Advise please. I am on SS and can't afford to go to a professional salon.

Hello Smidget. Thank you for using our PL2 - Ultra Light Platinum. We know it can be disappointing to look forward to a new haircolor and the results be different than what you anticipated. This lightener is active for up to 60 minutes so be sure to leave it on long enough to reach your goal blonde. On hair that's darker than a natural, undyed true medium brown you won't reach the pale blonde stage, but if the hair is still in good condition you can use a second kit after a few days to continue the lightening process on the hair that is still too yellow.

Great for dk brown roots if you follow directions!
I have read several negative reviews of this shade and can only surmise that they have not followed directions or have black hair. I have dark brown roots. I used PL2 after 4 weeks worth of roots...left it on for 25 minutes, rinsed and roots were almost a white blonde which is what i wanted. No brassiness or orange and the purple conditioner added a nice, natural finishing touch. I like using a one step blonde that lightens and tones in one step. I highly recommend PL2!

it looked pretty nice, bu i wasnt expecting it to lighten my hair, because it said no bleaching. i am curious as to what lightens the hair then? ,y hair is a natural medium brown/auburn colr and it lightened my hair about two shades. very little pink hue though.

Hair is yellow, not white
My hair is naturally white grey in the front and blonde/brown/copper across the back and sides. I had my hair cut rather short a couple of days ago. I noticed the back was a bit darker with grey running through so I purchased a highlighting kit, L'Oreal Balyages. I used it on the back only, the deep purple mask, I used all over after washing the dye out. The mask turned my whole heard ORANGE! I tried using clarifying shampoo etc. Nothing worked so 48 hours later I purchased Garnier Ultra light platinum because it said it lifts up to 8 levels of pigment out of the hair. I left it on for the full 60 minutes, maximum recommended time, it is yellow. I really wanted my white grey back. :( I tried adding images before and after but was not successful at that either.

While bleaches can lighten hair to a very pale blonde, even white hair will oxidize to a pale yellow. We recommend using a purple conditioner to tone the yellow to a silver.

Quality going downhill!
Why change something when the old formula was great? To save a few cents? Don’t understand why companies employ chemists and pay them so much money just to lose thousands of loyal customers. Bring back the old formulas. They work. Fire whoever made this bad decision. Apologize to your customers. Take action now!

You WILL need toner
My hair is a mousy brownish blah color. This product leaves it what I call “chicken yellow” - basically like a baby chick. If you tone the heck out of it with Wella T18, you can get close-ish to the color on the box. Unless you are very blonde to start with, no way is this going to lift enough to give you platinum.

Good on brown & blonde strands;but not cover grays
It doesn’t cover my grays, however, it does color my dark brown hair. I still had some bleached highlights in my hair and the bleached highlights absorbs the color at a different intensity…. So essentially, the lighter colored areas of your hair are going to be brighter, pink the darker color, strands of your hair are going to be not as intense pink, more of an Auburn look. I’ve used this product for almost 2 years now. Not certain whites not covering the grays I’m gonna try it again and leaving it on longer to see if that can be impacted over although I love the color..

Dark rose gold permanent hair color
I love this color it’s great for blonde or white hair I wish they would put the conditioner in a tube instead of a bottle it’s so hard to use with the bottle because it doesn’t come out easy !

Bring back the the original acai berry Fructis color shield formula
I had been using the previous shampoo and conditioner formula for the last 14 years, so for sure I know the difference between the old (red bottle) and the new (green bottle) formula. I’m so disappointed because not only does it smell horrible, but my scalp gets very itchy. Ugh… I now need to figure out what other brand I can use… Just bring back the original formula! Why change the formula of a perfectly good product? Probably to save money… Well, I hope you lose all of the customers who were loyal to the original acai berry Fructis color shield formula! Bye, bye, Garnier. 👋
