Perfect place for weeds to grow
I thought this would be great, but it didn't last long. After first season it started to break down and pull apart. Also the weeds loved to grow in all the cracks and crevices and it's impossible to pull them out. This does not replace weed block at all. It doesn't last as long and encourages weeds vs blocks them.

Epic Failure in my garden
I usually love the products I purchase from Gardener's Supply, but this product is an epic failure in my garden. This product is a thin material with shredded rubber attached. In multiple situations the walkway disintegrates and spreads little pieces of shredded rubber all over your garden. The catalog shows a person walking on this walkway on wet ground - in this situation in my own garden, the walkway lasted less than a week. When I placed it on dry ground where I walked several times a week, the walkway lasted only months. Do not place this walkway where there are any weeds - the weeds sprout through the rubber and the walkway disintegrates when you pull the weeds. If this were the first product I purchase from Gardener's Supply, I would never buy from them again.

Worked well for one season
Used to make a continuous border around raised bed garden. I put down a double layer of landscape cloth and then this product. I used landscape cloth staples to join the strips, and also on the edges. I fully expected to have to monitor for grass shoots near the staple holes, but this product failed beginning in the second year all over, including in the middle of the strips. It's due to the product breaking down. Waste of money because it's a nightmare to get rid of the grass shoots without destroying the mat completely. I have to clip the grass continually.

Width not as advertised
I have purchased the rubber mulch walkway several times over the past year and was happy with it. My last order was purchased a few weeks after a previous delivery and I needed more to finish my project. To my disappointment all four rolls of the most recent delivery was 23" in width, not the 2' of my last 2 orders. I rechecked the description online to see if the item dimensions had changed and it had not. Now my walkway is of 2 different widths and looks off. Very disappointing but too difficult to cut off 1" from the older rolls and way too much work to send back. The item description should state the correct dimensions !

Terrible quality
These walkways are not solidly made- fall apart/disintegrate very easily and had an extremely strong/toxic smell out of the box. I do not feel comfortable using them in my organic vegetable garden.

Created a wheelchair friendly path - yes!!
Even with flat level ground with grass, I would get stuck with my wheelchair when going around and between the beds. Just laying the rubber walkway, better than grass but too much sinking in BUT on plywood, I can happily get around almost all my beds. Ran out of wood and pathway so buying some more. Having full access to my raised beds and it looks like mulch - it's sweet!

Only use these if you aren't going to cut them to shape.
I wanted to replace the mulch path near my grass. I'm always having to replace the mulch because the lawn mower picks up so much of it. Unfortunately, for my application it was very difficult to install. I have curved edges to my walkway and cutting this product to fit was extremely difficult. I'm hoping the edges will lay a little flatter over time. Right now, the edges are very noticeable. We'll see. It may be a very expensive, difficult experiment.

I laid these down years ago and they are still in good shape. They sit in the direct 100+ degree Vegas sun and the 30 to 40 degree winter temps. No issues. Have bought more since. I have not used a weed barrier beneath.

Looks and feels great at first but don't expect them to last
I bought one and then two more not realizing they don't last long before they tear easily if moved. Also little pieces of black rubber everywhere! I had a playground before I moved with this rubber under our playground and it would get in the rocks. I thought since this was a mat it'd be different. I thought wrong. I'm throwing them away after not even six months use. I wouldn't even bother giving them away. Great company as I've ordered a lot from them, and have enjoyed all my many purchases except these messy things.

I have purchased so many of these mats I have lost count!
Over the past 2 years I have been ordering these mats. Probably around 25 of them so far. My yard receives a lot of rain and soil erosion was a problem. I tried loose rubber mulch first and that washed down the yard and piled up at my fence line. The rubber mats stay put, even with excessive rain and have greatly reduced the amount of erosion. They are great weed preventives too and make your flower beds look amazing.

good start but let me down in rainy season
I've bought about 8 of these, a few at a time as they are expensive. At first I was quite pleased, they covered the interior of our garden beds and seemed to do a good job keeping the pathways weed free. But in the second season (this year) when it rained a lot the weeds broke through and they totally failed to keep the paths under control. They might work while if weed cloth has been laid first, or weeds have been totally killed off before putting the mats down.

A waste of money
I am extremely annoyed with this product. I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of these mats, only to have them fall apart within a year. Complete garbage.

Not worth it
I was excited about this project and after one initial purchase as a trial, I bought a few more to finish the project. However they already were started to wear after a few weeks, had weeds going through it, and would rip easily if pulled at. Unfortunately the 4 additional ones that I purchased are very expensive to return ($140 in shipping).

I would buy this product again.
This product is a great idea! I suggest they make it thicker or stronger as the product crumbles in your hand if you move it, lift it or tug on it. I would buy more only for the coverage it gives but seriously, I don't like the way it falls apart so easily and would suggest they make it thicker or more adhesive to itself.
