Love this future for my clematis
Got this for my Virgin's Bower clematis. Lots of room for the vine to grow into. My husband calls this my Tesla coil, it does resemble one. Easy to assemble and so far is doing its job. It is not for a heavy woody or super vigorous one such as a passion flower. Would recommend for any clematis.

Nice looking, but not well made
I love the look and potential of this trellis. I haven't been able to find it elsewhere. I ordered two. One never stood upright, the other rusted and broke at a connector after just one year.

Nice but not robust
I purchased two of these a year apart. One I used for runner beans in a public pollinator garden that I maintain. We cable tie this one to a fence post as the site is somewhat windy (and we wanted to make it difficult to steal). It has performed well. The second one I purchased for use in my own garden to support a clematis. Unfortunately, this one did not fit together as well and was somewhat wobbly. We placed it on the protected side of our house and secured it at two levels with bungee cords. During the summer, the top and first level of legs became disconnected and the only thing that kept it from simply falling over was the vine itself. We reassembled it and it seemed fine. A few days ago as I was working on preparing my beds for winter, I noticed that it appeared to be leaning. Upon further inspection, one of the leg connections had snapped off completely where it inserted into the collar, the others at that level disconnected or bent. I have not disentangled it from the vine as of yet, but I doubt that it can be repaired. If I had it to do over, I would definitely use a fence post to secure it as the metal of the tuteur is too lightweight.

I bought two
I purchased two of these. I purchased one of these initially. Before was delivered, I discovered another spot in my garden to incorporate another. The first was delivered and I was able to assemble myself and immediately placed in its new home. I then ordered a second one. Repeated the same process, but the bottom piece of the base will not fit properly. Only two of the four legs will insert into the tier above correctly. (The legs opposite each other do not go into the pegs all the way.). I have it still set up, but I know it will need to be fixed or it will topple over, destroying my honeysuckle. I am hoping this can somehow be remedied without dissembling, as the vine seems to be climbing already.

Beautiful for Honeysuckle!
I purchased this to trellis honeysuckle, with the hopes of encouraging pollinators (especially hummingbirds) into our yard. The trellis shipped quickly and was very easy to assemble. I love the look of the trellis and it is very sturdy. So far, the honeysuckle is growing beautifully up the trellis. I can't wait to see as it continues to grow and thrive. I would recommend this product.

I really want another one-just can't afford it
I had mine for approx. 4 years until last fall it was blown over from just a small wind. I even had it cemented at the bottom of each leg but evidently not deep enough. If I were to buy another one ( which I'm considering), I would def dig deeper and figure out a way to prevent in ground corrosion also. I will also tether it on two sides between my house and my porch. I look forward to suggestions if possible. Thankyou 😊 Ps.. I had 3 different vines on mine… not sure how I did that. Beautiful all summer long here in New England.

I would not buy this again. Lasted only a few months.
I think these trellises would work better if they were thicker, to withhold better against the elements. Mine were both destroyed in a summer thunderstorm from gusty winds.

Initially was great, now it topples over.
I have 2 of these in my backyard, by my pool. I have Clematis climbing on them, and they looked great the first 3 years I had them. Then this summer during a storm one of them fell over and killed the clematis. I bought poles and zip tied it to them and then the top came off the supports and fell off again. It gets too top heavy for a perennial climber.

Rickety, top heavy, huge disappointment
This is not remotely the quality of the Essex plant supports I have for my peonies. The sections refuse to insert completely and i will have to try glueing it together. Very top heavy and will likely topple and come apart in the slightest wind. Decent quality ground anchors should come included and be of the quality that come with the GSV Crop Cage.

We're so sorry you're disappointed in the Essex Tuteur! Assembly can be tricky, so here are some tips. First, have a second person help! Gently place two "prongs" of the top piece into the female ends of the last section of the tower. Once you fit two prongs barely in, there is an inch of space that has to be 'closed' in order to get the other prongs in. Slightly pull the other two prongs out by hand and insert them into the other female ends of the last section of the tower. Once they slide in, immediately push all four down in place and the trellis is assembled.

Poor construction, would not buy again or recommend.
I liked the design and bought two. I had honeysuckle growing on one and clematis on the other. Neither held up due to weak material used in their construction. The wind would blow them over and bend them. The joint where they were connected would break. Again, nice design, but the material and construction needs to be stronger/beefier.

Great Design and Decent Quality
I am using this for my jasmine plant. While I haven't put it outside since there is still frost, I have it in my studio and my jasmine is already climbing up on it quite well. This obelisk trellis is visually appealing and sturdy.

I am always looking to upgrade my yard to attractive yet functional items, so I treated myself to this beautiful support tower. This one fit the bill completely. Visually pleasing, sturdy and easily assembled. I can't wait to see the clematis in full bloom next spring!

Amazing
I hate to admit this, but I purchased it on a win. I had a little buyers request it before it came. Once I set it up, which was easy, I fell in love with it. Now I'm looking for more spots in my garden to add these!
