Weak Welds

These "super hoops" are unstable, weak and poorly designed and constructed. The welds broke and the tubular sleeves that connect the section end posts don't retain a firm grip and slide off. After one season we had to trash the entire lot.

Would not buy this again

These are too flimsy-they don't hold up and with a shade cloth on them, they fall over with any sort of wind.

Great product for a variety of purposes

I could use an extra foot of coverage for these arches, so my tomato plants can achieve their max height. I like that I can use whichever protective cover I need for the season. I use Gardeners' sun cover in August, then frost protection in October.

Flimsy, requires constant maintenance

Not strong enough for low level storms/ weather. Connectors useless. Waste of money, will have to replace. Required constant maintenance.

I wouldn't buy the Super Hoops again

Great idea but the metal wire is thin and too flexible. The screws holding the hoop extenders screw in crooked and fall out. The summer weight cloth I purchased to cover my plants is also thin and beginning to tear. On the other hand the six tomato ladders I bought are of great quality and strong. I expect them to last many years.

We bought 3 sets of these

We lost a giant shade tree a year ago Spring. Rotted out dangerously on one side. Our many hydrangeas were then exposed to the intense sunlight. They were seriously burned last summer as we lacked the resources to get them all covered with shade cloth. This year we got the project done in time (high 80's to 90's forecasted for this week) and they are thriving. We are experienced gardeners and DIY'ers and found these hoops easy to assemble and entirely reliable for this application.

Save Yourself Some Money

This is just mesh ladder block. You can find it for $3 in the masonry section of your local hardware store. No need to pay 4x the price here.

Good with an easy workaround

Exactly what I needed for a shade structure without a huge price tag. To make this sturdy enough to be fully extended, we drove one PVC pole next to each side of the hoop and zip tied the hoop to it. (You could also use rebar or other strong stake.) I'm buying another so that I can extend the tunnel.

Connectors are worthless

Please come up with connectors that actually stay on. They don't fit tightly and there is no way to make them so. They slide right off.

I will most likely buy this again

OK - they are NOT heavy duty -- but we've bought the smaller version of these and used them for years. We lost out giant 60 x 80 ft. shade tree this past spring (rotting in the trunck and nothing to be done to save it) and so now all our hydrangeas (some 25 of them) are in the hot sun. So, shade cloth was a must. Will order another set most likely before the end of August.

Need replacement connectors or they r useless

Flimsy, great concept but doesn't hold any light weight bug covers. Missing 1 connector, thought I'll just buy a pack. No option to buy so what's the point, they r so small u will lose a few.

Can't get replacement parts!

I would reuse these and buy more except you cannot purchase the little metal connectors...and they disappear in the garden easily!
