This was relatively easy to install and this type of fixture is great to finally get things off the floor. This was a very functional lamp. I used it for my bedroom above my nightstand. The only problem is that I wanted to use a CFL bulb, but this is a dimmable lamp, and it is very hard to find a dimmable CFL. There is one company that makes decent dimmable CFL's - PureSpectrum, but they are expensive. When the bulb arrived, I realized that the harp was too low. So I had to go out and buy a higher harp. Another confusing thing is that while the website description says it uses a 60 watt bulb, the bulb base says it can go even higher - 75watts.I recommend that if you are buying this lamp, go with a non-CFL bulb, or if you want a CFL bulb, go with another lamp.Pros: Great Value, Diffused Light, Attractive Design, AdjustableCons: Tough To Assemble
