I love FF14, Was expecting more from the aArtbook
First artbook I purchased from 14, I was expecting more. You basically get a single page or single corner showing one item 1 gear or 1 monster etc, the gear I would have liked to seen the concept pieces individually not as a whole or more rough sketches. the weapons are fine but they dont have a name to them! Wish I could have been easy just look it up with the name in game to use. Comparing to other art books, FEA is probably still my favorite for a sort of character book with alot of concept rough sketches, HZD for example doesn't have alot of characters it focus on but instead its about the scenery and cultures and that's what it shows art of. Both are great imo. As for FF14, they could have added alot more stuff in there. They have an abundance of content and hard work that went it to it but I simply dont see it was as well done with care to fill every blank area. Diabolos Wings are chopped, there is alot of white blank space within two pages. Chimera Poppet sketch is what I was expecting in the book instead it filled with Forgall one shots. Why didnt they add a separate piece on what the heck its sitting on idk. Examples like that, blank white space everywhere. Worst of all, We did not get a break down for Hraesvlgr! Nidhog isnt even in here! For the good, the best shots where probably scenery shots for the dungeons.
