Kichler Lighting Fairfield 1 - Light Post Light in Black

Very easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a light at the end of our walkway because our porch light just didnt reach that far. We found this one and fell in love. It has a beautiful design and reminds me of old street lamps. What really sold me was the "rain" effect it has. I absolutely love that. It does produce a good amount of lighting. It has withstood multiple storms this past week. It does seem to be very well made as well as durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite excited to have received my Kichler Fairfield light post. Wanting to install one of these on my front lawn for the longest time, I was all smiles when opening the box. This light post light is quite large. Is powder coated in the perfect black color and the large Panes of glass around the bulb are perfect for giving you just the right amount of light. The light is quite elegant and beautiful but unfortunately I cannot give it a five star rating. Instead I am giving it a four-star, the reason for the four star rating is I really really thought that this light came with a post so that it can be completely installed. Unfortunately only the upper light portion is supply, you have to supply your own post to put the light on. After running to the hardware store I was able to locate a post to install the light does it beautifully on top of it and I do like it. I just wish that this was a complete kit with a post and light kit.

The instructions were very clear and It was extremely easy to install. It goes really well with my decor and is overall an amazing product that lights up my garden.

The directions provided were easy to follow, so it was pretty easy to assemble. We placed it in the front of our house near driveway. It not only provides light, but also gives more perfect look. The quality is outstanding. I am very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it for others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife loves the clean elegant lines and beauty of this light, while I wanted something practical. This light fits both goals. Although I had planned to mount it on a post by the driveway entrance, my wife decided she really wanted a free-standing plug-in pole light that we could attach to a large heavy square of unusual veined marble we own and that could be moved around the yard if she decided she wanted it in a different location. I intended to purchase locally but quickly discovered that not a single store in our area had any poles or bases in stock or planned to order any. Finally, our local Kichler dealer found an in-ground pole in their warehouse, not what we wanted, but we are creative. My friend, a licensed electrician, assisted with the installation. We determined placement and then drilled a hole partway up the pole so the hole would be about 3 inches above ground after the pole was set in place, and threaded wiring up to the top, leaving about 4 feet extending from the lower hole to add a heavy-duty outdoor plug. Digging a hole, we added the pole, made sure it was level vertically and horizontally, and securely packed in concrete rubble and dirt to make it impervious to wind movement yet easily dug up if we decide on a different location. Connecting the wiring on the light to the wiring inside the pole was a breeze, and the light fixture fit snugly onto the pole. At the lower end, we attached the outdoor plug and wrapped electrical tape around the part where the wire enters the plug to make it weatherproof. An outdoor extension cord from the outside receptacle on the porch to the plug on the pole completed the project. Changing the lightbulb is a breeze with just two screws holding the cover on, so you can try different bulbs to determine just the right amount and type of lighting you want. The light covers a large area of our backyard facing the woods, which provides security for us and for our small dogs as our porch light doesn’t shine into the blackness beyond their fenced area. Now our backyard after dark has all-around softly diffused lighting, just right for feeling safe while spending a peaceful evening enjoying nature and stargazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was super easy to install as it come pretty much pre assembled and is your standard post light installation. Looks amazing. The bubble glass casing is beautiful and unique. It gives 100 watts but we used a 60 watt led bulb and it is perfect for romantic evenings on our patio. We used just the one in our patio garden area and will decorate the plain black post at some point later on. Great piece.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my neighborhood each home has a light post in the front yard. These houses were built in 1986 and the posts are very outdated. I was thrilled to change the top of the light post, it looks so updated and really makes my house look nice. I love the design of the lantern style with the seeded glass panels give is an added bonus! I added the biggest lightbulb that would fit inside and it really lights up my yard! This took me 15 minutes to install following the detailed instructions.
