Great pencil
I've used Faber Castell pencils for several years but wanted a larger set. I'm 77 years old and have an adult coloring club where I live. I love these pencils, except for one little thing. I would like to have a color chart but I was told one does not exist for this set. Had I known that in advance, I would have ordered a different type of F-C pencil. Otherwise, I am delighted with them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These colored pencil have really started me on the habit of coloring again, to the point that I have ordered several adult coloring books. The pigmentation is great you can get a light wash of color or a deep color with the same pencil just adjust the firmness of use. They blend BeautyPass and the variety of colors is unlike anything I have used before. I also love the packaging it’s it so cute and so easy to store

WOW! I sure am surprised and thrilled with these pencils. Buttery soft with lots of vibrant, wonderful colors. FC Polychromos have some competition, at a much lower cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will preface this review by saying I am not a professional artist. I use these pencils to color as a hobby, or with adult coloring books to relax. That said, these pencils are very nice quality and a genuine pleasure to use. Definitely a positive example of 'you get what you pay for,' these pencils are an indulgence for a hobbyist and a great tool for the more advanced artist. These pencils blend incredibly well, and without any special tools or techniques, making it easy for even beginners to create smooth color transitions for shading or gradients. Because they blend so well, it's really worth getting the full 100 color set, which provides a great range of colors without duplicates. They are a softer pencil, with tips that round off quickly, but you can still color in tiny areas or create sharp details if you want. I find I rarely need to sharpen the tips, even when working on intricate details. However, because of their softness these pencils are not the best choice for younger children, or anyone with a mobility issue that means they cannot vary the amount of pressure used.

Truly great rich in color, colored pencil set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had colored pencils that are this amazing!!! You can tell a major difference in these than others I have had. The colors are rich and even work so well on black paper I was shocked how rich the color was even on black paper. The packing is an amazing tin and they have trays with the pencils in them. They are strongly made. I am so glad I got to try these. They are a little more money but so worth it.

Super nice colored pens

I love adult coloring books and this set will allow me to be more creative because this set comes with 100 pencils. I always try and purchase Faber-Castell supplies for my crafts and artwork because the quality has always been fantastic. Works well on light and dark paper and the colors are vibrant. Excellent gift for the artist in your family.

Vibrant colors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Faber-Castell Black Edition Colored Pencils (Tin of 100, #116490) and they are fantastic. The colors are vibrant and blend beautifully. The soft lead makes drawing smooth and easy, even on dark paper. The tin is sturdy and keeps everything organized.

Not lightfast
Great colors, do well laydown, bright, price to high for no lightfastness, trouble sharpening, on the fence about recommending

If lightfastness is a requirement, Polychromos Pencils would be best - they are available in 120 lightfast-rated colors. Please note we recommend a Faber-Castell sharpener for our products as it is the correct angle and sharpness for our barrels.
