I followed the instructions carefully and flush enough water through the filter initially. The water from my filter tastes exactly the same as it did with the previous version of this filter. I drink several glasses every day and it tastes exactly the same. No one else in my household even noticed that we used a different filter than before. This is the new model of filter replacing my previous brand water filter for my Whirlpool refrigerator. The product looks good, packaging is great. Takeaways: Overall I would recommend this as an "upgrade" of the previous version since it removes a significantly higher number of contaminants compared to the last version. The quickest and easiest way to do that is through our refrigerator. My husband is usually the one to replace the filter in the refrigerator, but he wasn’t around I tried it for the first time myself with the EveryDrop Filter 3. It was surprisingly easy to install. I located the filter compartment in my fridge and twisted it right into place without any trouble. I felt pretty proud of myself that I was able to accomplish it, and that it was so easy! I then ran it a little bit just to clear out any loose filtering material (I read that you’re supposed to do that), and after that it was perfect. The water is crisp and clear without any chlorine taste to it. According to the company, it also clears out industrial chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals. So I am drinking very clean water! I definitely recommend this filter to anyone with a compatible refrigerator. It works great for us!
