Wow, this product smells so bad! Like burnt runner or some type of chemicals. The smell is so bad that I had to throw it away I could not get over it.

I received this product in exchange for a honest review- the elf clarify facial oil comes in a very good quality bottle. The product itself is a green liquid but not tacky at all. It’s very easy to apply on fingers or face to blend on skin. Doesn’t leave any color behind and makes your skin feel very moisturizing. One thing I will say is that is does have a scent so if you’re very sensitive then it would be something to be aware of. Product claims to calm redness and remove blackheads- two areas I target. I have noticed it making my skin look less red in spots that were previously affected so will continue to use.

This was an easy occasional add-in to my nighttime routine. It is easily absorbed into my skin (despite me being initially nervous about its green color), and then I put on some moisturizer afterwards to link it back to my regular nightly routine. I do feel like my skin is less stressed, and that it has helped clear out my pores. - I have pretty dry skin, so it was awesome to find a product like this that doesn't dry out my face even more.

During my first two weeks of use, my skin went through a purge phase-- which is expected and normal for salicylic acid-- and my acne temporarily increased. However, after that my skin became so clear and glass-like. Compared to other exfoliants I've used, like an AHA mask, this was much gentler and something I could use nightly before my retinol. Plus, it has a pleasant clean smell. Overall, I really enjoyed this product and would highly recommend to those with combo skin looking for an exfoliant. I will definitely buy this again once it runs out.

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I’ve been using this facial oil for about 3 weeks, and I’m surprised with the results. I’ve noticed a lot less redness, and my breakouts have decreased. I am not acne prone, but I do get the occasional breakouts, especially around the week before and of my period. I did notice some dryness during the first week of use, but I expected that, as I use other products with AHA/BHA on some nights. I’ve been alternating nights with the oil/other products, and using a great moisturizer, and the dryness has gone away. This oil smells quite strongly of tea tree, but I don’t mind the smell. The oil is light so I don’t feel super greasy. Overall, I’m impressed and am excited to see the longer term results as I continue to use it.

I have dry skin. I have acne-prone skin. I am not a teenager! This has helped reduce the redness without being overly drying. It says to use at night, but I have dabbed some on in the morning before makeup to help take some of the redness away. Some people are commenting on the scent, but it didn’t bother me at all. It’s one of those that makes you think that it’s doing its job. I will purchase again.

Elf sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. I tried this out for a few weeks per the directions. First impressions is I love the packaging and that it’s a “dropper” applicator. However, the smell is awful. It honestly smells like burnt plastic to me and I feel like it’s all I can smell when I put it on. The consistency is oily and I do like the way it made my face feel especially the next morning. However, it did seem to break me out and I had to stop using it. I would maybe recommend to family/friends if you do not have sensitive or acne prone skin.

Most clarifying treatments I have tried in the past dry me out, but this one actually leaves my skin hydrated. It does have a medicinal kind of smell, but it goes away after being on my skin for a few minutes. The directions on the outside of the box say you can use it a couple times a day but I will definitely stick to night time use only as it does leave a oil type finish on my skin.

I know that my skin responds well to salicylic acid so I thought that this would be my new holy grail. Unfortunately, this isn’t a product that I can recommend. When I first opened this product, I immediately noticed the smell. The product I received had an overwhelmingly strong odor of rancid oil. It smells absolutely HORRIFIC, and the smell doesn’t go away once you apply the oil. I was gagging every time I tried to use this product. I also found that despite it’s claims, this product irritated my skin and (somehow) caused me to get new clogged pores which is not an issue I have previously struggled with. My skin is only mildly sensitive so I was incredibly shocked that it bothered my skin. This combined with the scent issue made me wonder if maybe the bottle that I received was expired but it was sealed when I received it so I don’t think that is the case. With regards to the packaging, I absolutely hate that the bottle is a dropper since it is both unhygienic and also allows oxygen to get into the product and potentially make its shelf life shorter. I wish that this product had been packaged in a pump bottle. Overall, this product is something that I really wanted to like but ultimately it just didn’t work for me or my skin. I would warn people with even mildly sensitive skin to be cautious when using this product.

This is very gentle and easy to use, I use a few drops and it helps my skin stay glowing and clear.

I don’t have pore‑prone skin, but I still tried the PLZ Clarify Facial Oil to help with the occasional breakout. What surprised me is how lightweight it feels — it absorbs fast and doesn’t leave a greasy layer on top of my skin. Even though I don’t struggle with clogged pores, I noticed it helps calm small pimples and keeps my skin looking smoother when it’s feeling a bit textured. It doesn’t dry me out either, which I appreciate. The tea tree scent is noticeable, but it fades quickly for me. Overall, it’s a nice product to have on hand for those times when my skin acts up, even if acne isn’t my main concern.

I've been using PLZ clarify facial oil for about two weeks. It contains 2% salicylic acid, which is an acne treatment plus it contains aloe extract. I was interested in this product because it helps treat and prevent new blackheads while clarifying clogged pores. It should provide a brighter, even toned complexion. All things I was interested in achieving. I use about five or six drops on a clean face at night. It has been an easy addition to my skin care routine. I have noticed it helping to clarify my skin and reduce redness. I am happy with the results so far and will continue to use it. I'm excited that the product is also vegan, cruelty free and e.l.f clean.

For me this was just “okay”. The smell was too much for me, but! I have been using it as a cuticle oil which has worked really well! As long as I keep the smell away from my face, it’s all good.
