Duraflame 4 Hour Burning Firelogs for Long Lasting Fireplaces, Bonfires, Campfires, 6 Pounds Each, 6 Pack

Bought a box of six 6lb logs. The first log only produced very low flames. After ~4 hours I had to start breaking apart the surface of the log in order to expose more of the fuel. This produced fuller flames for about 10-15 minutes after which the flames died down again. The 2nd log produced a relatively normal flame (although a bit lower than what I remember from previous uses several years ago). The 3rd and 4th logs burned like the 1st log (very low flames). Not sure if the box I bought is part of a bad lot or if all duraflame logs perform inconsistently and poorly.

We purchased 5 boxes of the Duraflame Gold Ultra Premium logs. We placed one in our fireplace when we got back from the store and it burned as usual but we did notice an odor that seemed off. We discounted it and on the next burn we had company over that consisted of our children and grandchildren. This time we had the same odor but this time it was some smoke. We grabbed the log and but it in a metal container and took it outside to an outdoor fire pit. My wife who was not present in the morning when we had trouble with the previous log started one in the evening and the smoke became so oppressive we had to open all the doors and run fans to clear th house of the smoke. The smoke has a strong smell of burning plastic and is an eye irritant. We can burn regular wood with no problem so it has nothing to do with the fireplace functioning properly.

Don't burn near 4 hours.

We have used Duraflame logs for some time. Generally, they work really well. But sometimes, like tonight. They don't catch on both sides and you have a weak fire on just one side. So what is your recourse? You can't return the unconsumed portion of the product.

Have used for past several years but the last 5 boxes have started & burned poorly. I have to use fatwood to start the fire as the wrapping fails to start the log. Size has changed too. Use to fit perfectly on grate; now a little short causing a premature break & flame up.

Great burning log. Doesn't last 4 hrs though. 3 at best. Most of them only lasted 2.5 hours before dwindling down to a very weak flame then going out.

I've been buying these for years, but in last couple years, they only burn for a Max of 3 hrs, when it states 4 hr., and then they've been smelling up my house like kerosene! I recently had chimney swept, and hvac system cleaned/disinfected, too! But if those aren't enough reasons to complain, the logs are splitting in half within the 1st hour, and then they flame up massively, and die out completely within 40 minutes. Duraflame sent me a special grate last year to prevent this from happening, but it's still going on with the grate. I just don't know if Duraflame is cutting corners to combat inflation or what. Their CSR addressed these issues with me, and Heather was great. They replaced my financial losses, but, unfortunately, only some of the replacements burned as they're advertised. The rest, I had same problems. The newest CSR at Duraflame, who responded to my most recent complaint has been especially insulting, as tho the problem was on me... I suspect they can afford to lose customers. Bottom line... there are other brands out there. -Time to give them my business and money.

The four log never lasts more than 3. At 1 hour it usually breaks and then burns unevenly. Usually only get 2.5 hours. Unfortunate because they used to be better
