Duck Covers 15"x5" Weather Defender SUV Automotive Exterior Cover Gray/Blue: Outdoor Hail Protection Car Cover

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 2018 Toyota Rav4 and this is a very close fit. Loose enough to allow proper airflow, but tight enough to be secure. I was initially confused as to which way this was supposed to go on but I found out that brand logo Duckcover is supposed to sit at the back of the SUV. I like that used plastic instead of metal grommets. It's supposedly made of breathable material which is supposed to allow airflow that would prevent moisture buildup and mildew. While it has a lot of features that is designed to minimize the risk of scratching, it still falls short in some areas. It lacks a soft inner lining or padding that is supposed to prevent scratching. While the material seems durable and tear resistant, it's not particularly soft. It makes a crunchy sound similar to a plastic wrapper when you move it. The recommended materials is cotton or some sort of fleece. Since the cover isn't padded, it's probably not enough to protect from falling objects like hail or branches, although it might be thick enough to be a buffer for small hail. It seems like it mainly protects it from UV rays and bird droppings. Because the interior is not very soft, I only plan to use it for short intervals for when I'll be away on trips or for particularly bad weather. Overall, I would say this is a good quality cover for outdoor, but I would prefer it had a soft inner lining.
