Stick to the original!
Dr. Seuss is rolling over in his grave. This book is poorly written and does not deserve the Grinch’s great, majestic name. Read it once to my kids once and they didn’t like it. Never read it again. Will become a dust collector. Just another attempt to milk more money out of the Grinch’s name.

Mid cash grab that cheapens the original--skip it
Like everyone, my family loves the grinch. This ‘sequel’ isn’t by Dr. Seuss, and is so obviously a cash grab. The writing style is mid, hardly anything like Dr. Seuss. In fact, it’s only marginally similar because it effectively takes the original manuscript and mad libs it into this abomination. The worst part is the Grinch acts like a spoiled brat after losing a tree decorating contest shrinking his heart, then moments later it grows even bigger than before, which really cheapens the emotional payoff of the original. It’s a tragedy that they did this to a classic character like the Grinch. Do yourself a favor—skip it.

Happy to learn more about a beloved character
We like the sequel to how the grinch stole Christmas! Told in similar style and with another heart warming message at the end. Glad to be able to read another grinch book after the first one to keep the story going. Definitely worth the purchase.
