[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally I would not use a soap that has a scent that is from a food however I decided to try one. I really thought I was going to smell like a bakery but to my surprise I didn’t, which is fantastic. My bathroom did, but thankfully not in a bad way. The scent is not overwhelming and it smells good. It’s nice that it’s a holiday scent but I think I might enjoy the cranberry scent more than the gingerbread. The bar lathers up quickly and a lot which is great and it doesn’t dry out my skin or feel like there’s some kind of chemical film afterwards. Just clean.

The packaging was great and I love season scents! This is a long lasting gingerbread scent. It smells so AMAZING! I would highly recommend buying this soap! Your skin will thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Dove Limited Edition Soap Bar in Gingerbread Delight and had mixed feelings about it. The bar has the same moisturizing qualities Dove is known for and left my skin feeling clean and soft after use. However, the scent was overpowering and not what I expected. Instead of a warm, gourmand gingerbread fragrance, it came across as more chemical and artificial, which I found unpleasant. Because of the strong scent, I didn’t really enjoy using it and it wasn’t a good fit for my preferences. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

The soap smells really good but be aware the scent is very strong. If you are sensitive to smells this soap may not be for you. It does leave my bathroom smelling really good so that’s a plus for me.

It literally smells the bathroom and it has been over 3 weeks and it’s still smelling up the bathrooms. It’s a great soap. I have not used Dove before, and it is very moisturizing and long lasting too, which makes it a great value. It has really impressed me and didn’t cost a fortune like specialty soap and it smells and moisturizes just as good as costly soap.

The scent is definitely on the stronger side and can feel a little overbearing at first, but honestly—it smells really good. Warm, cozy, and very true to gingerbread. Like all Dove bars, it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized, not tight or dry. If you love seasonal, sweet scents and don’t mind a bold fragrance, this one is a fun treat. I knocked off one star only because I wish the scent was just a bit more subtle, but overall it’s a great limited-edition option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically use the unscented Dove bar soap and liquid soaps for scents, so I was very excited to try out a scented Dove bar soap. I prefer this form as it is more environmentally friendly with less plastic packaging and lasts longer than bottled soaps. I was not disappointed in the least with this product! It lathers amazingly, better than other bar soaps I have tried, allowing for a luxurious feeling shower experience with an amazing scent. The smell is seriously SO good, not too strongly “ginger” and not overpowering when combined with my after shower products. My skin feels incredibly soft and hydrated after using. This product truly lasts and you can get many uses out of just one bar. I will be checking out other seasonal scents from Dove in the future.

The scent is warm and cozy at first, but on me it leans more lightly spiced than true gingerbread and doesn’t last long. I enjoy it as a fun, seasonal switch, but it’s more about the moisture than the fragrance.

However, I did not like the scent at all. It’s not a bad scent, but it’s not a good scent. It smells like a candle and that is weird and off putting as a soap. The scent is very artificial smelling. I did not care for it as a bar soap.

It's light and not overpowering. Some holiday soaps can be a hit or miss especially with quality. Sometimes it seems like they are made quickly as a gimmick but these have the same quality as their normal Dove bar soaps which I appreciate, because who doesn't like to get holiday soaps this time of year? With how long they last, and the amount of product you get for the price, these are always a no-brainer for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love dove bar soap. My family and I have been using it since I was a little girl. My parents are all fob bar soap loyalist. We typically use the cucumber or rose one but I was really excited to try this limited edition gingerbread soap. It smells wonderful and it really represents the winter/holiday season really well. It doesn’t smell sweet but it warm, cinnamon-y, and ginger like. It’s not super strong smell yet you can smell it the moment you open the box and use it in the shower. Like always, doc bar soaps are really nice and smooth on the skin. No complaints here. I’m curious about other limited editions now. I am definitely open to try other bar soaps now.
