    Extremely disappointed in new scent

    Please go back to the old sheer cool formula!!! This new scent stinks!! I'm going to have to find a new deodorant. It also does not work as well as the old formula.

    Be warned: New formula no longer prevents odor

    The formula changed from aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly to aluminum sesquichlorohydrate, among other changes. I noticed I started to smell a few hours after I applied it. I washed my armpits and reapplied, only to smell again a few hours later. That's when I realized they sneakily reformulated the product. This new formula simply does not work, and I'm mad I bought a two pack.

    The original version of this specific deoderant was amazing. However, the new version, “sheer cool”, instead of the invisible sheer cool is repulsive. It smells awful, and isn’t effective. I am so disappointed that the formula was changed.

    shows marks on clothes but still good

    I love this deodorant and will continue to buy it but I do wonder what “no white marks on 100 colors” means because it shows up on every single color of clothing I get it on. I guess it means “no white marks on 100 shades of white???” not sure but it is misleading.

    WHY did you change the scent?!?!

    The old sheer cool scent i would give 5 out of 5 stars on all fronts. I put this new one on (as i was unaware that the scent of it was different) and as soon as i put it on I realized how awful it was. It’s too strong and it is BAD (my husband agrees that this new version stinks). I had to wash it off - it took some serious scrubbing to get all the stink off me. I am SO disappointed that i purchased 2 packs of this!! Ugh! And now i am stuck with this trash because the store I bought from is 60 miles away!!

    I’m SO UPSET WITH DOVE FOR CHANGING THE SMELL OF THE, What used to be the Best Smelling Deodorant, INVISIBLE SHEER COOL. The new bad smelling deodorant only says “Sheer Cool” the old one says “Invisible Sheer Cool” Beware, there is a difference between them and how they smell. I Have gone to every store and smelling the now labeled “Sheer Cool” and it smells awful!!!! Like fake baby powder! The old better smelling “Invisible Sheer Cool” smelt sweet and DELICIOUS! I used to have people smell my pits just to prove how good it was & everyone would agree, even after having it on for hours!!!! Please Dove, I hope you’re listening, bring back the the good stuff!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    Change in smell

    The smell is not the same sadly. I thought it was a bad batch too. Nope. Smells like baby powder. Going to have to find a different brand. Pleased change it back dove!!

    This was the best. It's ruined.

    I've used Dove deodorant for at least 15 years - long enough when this scent had a different name. The scent was discontinued for awhile and then a few years back was packaged under this name. I was SO EXCITED. (Look, I love the scent - I literally bought all the bar soap I could find with it when that got discontinued ... enough to last me for literally years.) Then about a month ago I got a new stick and ... It Was Not The Same. I thought maybe it was some sort of QC issue and proceeded to buy multiple sticks from multiple store chains in multiple markets. Nope, they all smell like slightly off baby powder. That's horrible enough but the formula doesn't even work anymore. I thought I was just having some failure because of the insanely hot weather we've been having, but nope, even with the return of moderate temperatures it still fails - and badly. I'm not sure what the ingredient or formula change was, but seeing all the reviews for this line i at least know I'm not alone. In the future, if you monkey with formula, at least change the labeling to reflect that it's a new formula. It's unfair to customers to not give them a chance to at least give the sniff test to what ws formerly a tried and true product before purchasing.

    My go to deodorant!

    This is my absolute favorite deodorant—I order it over and over! It goes on smoothly, feels lightweight, and keeps me fresh all day (and then some). I love that it’s effective without being harsh on my skin, and the Sheer Cool scent is clean and refreshing without being overpowering. It truly lasts as promised, and even after long days I still feel confident. I’ve tried other brands, but nothing compares—this is the only deodorant I’ll buy!

    So sad about the new scent

    I’ve been buying this deodorant for years. I bought a new one after I ran out and noticed the scent changed. I thought I might have been imagining it, but it appears the formulation has changed, and the packaging is slightly different. I had to wipe off the deodorant because the smell got worse throughout the day. I’ll have to find a new brand to use, sadly.

    Terrible after reformulation

    This has been reformulated in the past few months and now doesn’t work. A few hours of wear and it feels like I never put deodorant on at all. The original formula is still available, but in awful scents.

    New version smells sour

    The new scent is anything but cool or sheer. I loved the previous scent and switched to it after they discontinued the apple and white tea. Now I’m back to finding something else because this one smells sour. Almost like the lime or grapefruit overpowers everything but it’s not even an actual citrus smell- it just smells awful. I also noticed that this new scent actually increases my BO after I’ve been sweating, whereas the old version did not.

    New formulation is disgusting

    The new scent is absolutely foul. It smells like old/musty perfume and has zero “cool” scent about it. The older version was clean and fresh smelling, whereas this has a very fruity smell. I prefer my deodorants to not smell like food (even vanilla) so now there are fewer choices in that department with this change.
