Average shrimp & grits, will do in a pinch
This dinner (or breakfast actually) can’t compare to Iron Rooster, but if you’re looking for a quick and cheap shrimp and grits, it’ll do! The seasoning is a bit overpowering and my husband said he only tastes creole. All of that seasoning makes it hard to taste the grits which is an important part of a meal called shrimp AND GRITS. Despite my criticism, I finished the entire dish, so I’d call it a win.

Did not dissapoint
I needed something quick for lunch for the following day so browsed the aisles and saw Dolly. Decided on this one because I had never had grits before and was curious. It did not disappoint. It looks like most microwave meals but the taste was good. I would definitely get again and look forward to trying the other options as well.

Beware! Whey protein, hidden filler
Why would you put whey protein in shrimp and grits? I’m sitting here with a horrible allergy reaction that will take hours to subside. Just ridiculous. Whey protein has no business being in a dish like this, it’s a cheap way to add extra protein and filler.

I bought this maybe week ago or so? But I was curious about shrimp and grits (never had it before) untill ones a hungry and didn’t feel like cooking a big meal just for myself. Lord and behold I was shocked the grits wasn’t over cooked nor soupy! The spicy sauce wasn’t too spicy for my taste buds and I’m not a big fan of spicy foods. However the small shrimp it doesn’t have much in it which is slightly disappointing but overall very delicious will buy it again!

I can not stop eating this shrimp n grits There’s no other frozen meal out there like it. The flavors are fantastic, and for the price it’s just off the charts. Is it five star restaurant food? No. But it’s not intended to be. It hits every mark for what it’s supposed to be though and I hope they never stop making it and never change the recipe. It’s just right (even the little shrimp are perfect just as they are). Dolly got it right on this one!
