Long and Sturdy
I personally don't use the cable that comes inside, but I can tell you that this is the best Mic Boom Stand… I've tried several before this one, and this is easily the best one out of all of them. If you are looking for a long one, this is the one for you.

mic connector to small
The 5/8 mic connector is too small. Received this as a gift brand new. Out of the box the connector didn't even fit the mic attachments that came along with the boom stand. checked my other mic stands and all the mic holders thread perfect. Tried to get in touch with Pyle customer service and have had no luck (it is dec 30th so it may be holiday hours). The stand otherwise looks sturdy and like a great product. Unfortunately mine is unusable :(

Using it weekly for our podcast without any issues. very quiet and sturdy with my Audiotechnica ATR2100 and pop filter on it. (note: the mic cage that comes with it has a wide opening that didn't work with my mic so i replaced it easily) great reach and rock solid.

Honestly this is a pretty solid mount. I have purchased pile products in the past and always been happy. This is no exception. I cannot speak to the quality of the microphone cable as I have not done specific testing on that, however this mount is currently holding one of my large diaphragm condenser microphones and I'm not worried about it at all. I would definitely recommend this product

Gets the job done for the most part, but this thing is cheaply made. Not recommended for a heavy mic. Already in the market for a replacement after a year.

I was looking for something to use with my ""Ham Radio"" that would hold many different microphones, hands free. This fit the bill 100%. The built-in XLR terminated cable is nice quality, but it would have been great if the ""free end"", termination could have been ordered and selected with a 1/4"" or 1/8"" male plug, or other termination. I would have liked the threaded microphone adaptor to have been the same color as the arm instead of the gold color. Great quality, smooth adjustments, and easy to set up. All in all I would give this product a score of 100 out of 100, and would strongly recommend it, and purchase it again.

Probably the worst thing to buy for your studio
So, I got this and I was super excited to use it in my recording studio, I actually got two, to my surprise, one of them had faulty wire, which I thought wasn't a big deal. But the worst part is that the second one I have, the suspension for the microphone did not hold onto microphone stand, which I tried to fix, but just couldn't due to the fact that nails won't screw inside. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product, I would buy something more expensive just so I'd know it's made of better quality.

Shock mount doesn't fit
It's ok. Feels like a generic mic holder. The springs are a bit too tight so it pulls itself back after a while and unfortunately the shock mount doesn't screw onto the brass stud. The stud is too small. Other than those issues, it works well and other mic holders fit it just fine, very adjustable.
