A ridiculously unhealthy amount of caffeine in this coffee. Do your research before consuming. It’s ridiculous that the amount of caffeine is not labeled on this bag. As a nursing mom, I was enraged to find out how much actual caffeine is in this.

Perfect start of a blend - for personal use, I mix 50-50 with the dark roast and cook it with the old campfire percolator-style pot. This way I have control over how much and the time element of perk.

I didn't know how high the caffeine content was until after trying it and looking online, so be careful if you are sensitive to caffeine! It contains at least 141.6mg per tablespoon according to one source I found. The average ground coffee contains between 50-100mg caffeine per tablespoon. It does taste good though!

Medium roast is good as are all your coffee, but we prefer the flavor of the Dark roast.

I was waiting for this since DWC started, but my first 2 bag had some minor problems. Firstly, the flavors come through very easily, but I had to experiment with methods to remove bitterness and harshness. Once I found a method that worked I absolutely loved the coffee that was produced. This method was 32g, gound more coarse than pour over, chemex paper, add 75g bloom, then 2x slow pours of 250 over 60sec with mellow dripper. The idea is to disturb the bed as little as possible (ty Lance Hendrick). Secondly, I amused to having broken beans in dark roasts, but these bags had a significantly high percentage of broken beans. This obviously speeds up the oxidation once opened and can lead to larger fines production in grinding which is why I believe I had to experiment so much to find a brew method that tasted amazing. Finally, this coffee is not what I would call a medium roast, which is a completely person opinion and probably not values le to others, but it is to me.
