Good Portable Air Conditioner
Good AC unit, gives cool air, has 3 in 1, and has other neat features like Bluetooth, timers, etc.

Don't buy it
It's quite simple - it doesn't cool the house or even entire room. The hose is giant, short and gets extremely hot. Unit itself is extremely heavy. Overpriced piece of junk that doesn't work. I'm writing this review while sweating in my room at 6 months pregnant WHILE THE AC IS IN FRONT OF ME!

Hi Jen, I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience with your Danby Portable Air Conditioner, especially during such an important time for you. It sounds frustrating when it doesn't cool as expected. Please ensure the unit's hose is properly positioned and not blocking airflow, as this can affect performance. Additionally, check if the filter needs cleaning, as that can impact efficiency. For further assistance, please reach out to our consumer service team at consumerservice@danby.com. We're here to help you find a solution. Regards, Earl

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money on this brand. bought 1 unit 2021 for our baby used it for 1 summer then on 2022 it's no longer cooling..got a Replacemenet september 2023, used it for 2 weeks only. in email stated no warranty. yes ofcourse no warranty because it is refurbished. Now summer and AGAIN its not cooling. Their CSR (Saidul) replied send photos and videos which I did and never replied back. Guess what? I sent another email and they replied asking again the same thing. Sounds like they choose who they want to talk to?

Works great
Had the 14,000 btu unit for a couple of months and it works great. we have large windows in our west-facing Condo and know issues in keeping the room cool about 600 sq. I've read the other reviews complaining about these units and it doesn't make any sense. like complaining about the dim LCD readout on the unit but why the remote sceen is easy to read.

Not impressed with results. Does not cool much
Noisy. Does not cool much. Even if you start early when room is not very hot it barely maintains a 25 degrees Celsius in a 300 square foot room.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that your Danby Portable Air Conditioner isn't meeting your cooling expectations. It's important that your unit performs well, especially in warmer conditions. If the air filter is clogged or the unit is not placed in a well-ventilated area, this can affect its cooling efficiency. I recommend checking these aspects to see if it improves performance. If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our consumer service team at consumerservice@danby.com. Regards, Earl

Does the job, well
Works as intended. The window adapter pieces are bit weak, but hold strong if you install it all correctly. Filters are easy to clean out, and the unit is easy to drain (although it can be rather heavy so be mindful of how often you drain it). The cooling mode is strong, the dry mode does a good job in my basement during winters, and the fan mode while loud does what I need it to do.

Hi Kinger, We're glad to hear that the unit is working as intended and that the cooling, dry, and fan modes are all performing well for you. We appreciate your feedback on the window adapter pieces and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our products. We're glad to hear that the filters are easy to clean and that the unit is easy to drain, but we apologize if it is heavy and difficult to move. Thank you for your support and we hope you have a great experience with your air conditioner. If there is anything else we can assist with, please don't hesitate to reach out. Regards, Earl

For a 14000 btu unit I was expecting a lot more power and cooling :(
I have a.12000 btu ac unit that performs way better then this unit I have cleaned the filters and I have also drained all fluids out of the water tanks and still have no luck with it cooling Down my apartment. Want to know if I can do anything else that would help me save this unit

Hello Sidney, We apologize for the inconvenience. Please give your unit a hard reboot. Unplug it and plug it back in after 15-20 minutes. This allows the unit to go back to factory settings. If you still encounter the same issue after performing the hard reboot, don't hesitate to contact our consumer support team at consumerservice@danby.com or fill out your information at https://www.danby.com/support/. Thanks, Earl

Not for elders!
I purchased this unit for my in-laws who are 87 and 90 years old. The LED display is so dim that I can’t see it, let alone them! The operation instructions are awful! There was no way in hell they could understand and learn to operate this unit! I had to return it.
