Beware of formula change
Changed the formula since the repackaging, gel cast isn't the same and leaves hair greasy. Really disappointed as I just bought the biggest size, and now it's unusable

Not much use
No instructions as to how often to use, only saying apply to soaking wet hair. After applying to soaking wet hair, this souffle is still at the mercy of the weather. It didn't achieve the desired effect on a damp cold London day, even with a beret on, and ended up the same day as frizz. As far as 'removing the cast', there was no cast. It says use an amount the size of a 'dime'. Er, no dimes in these parts.

Will not be purchasing again
I used to use this product years ago, then they changed the scent and it was overpowering so I stopped using it. I figured with the re-branding it would hopefully be a little better smelling, but it is quite the opposite. I didn't know it was possible, but the scent is even more overwhelming. I can't pinpoint what the scent is even - and to be honest it might be tolerable if it were lightly scented. I had to return this and the spray that I purchased. I do not recommend this product as it is now. I guess when they re-brand again in a few years I'll give it another sniff test.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Habe mit der Reisegrösse angefangen und habe mir jetzt die Jumbopackung bestellt! Gerade wenn man es ein bißchen eilig hat ist das Gel genial. Ich benutze es nach dem Schaum und es gibt einen tollen Halt. Den Cast kann man nach dem Trocknen wunderbar auskneten und hat schöne Locken bzw. Wellen, kaum Frizz. Toller Duft und eine schöne Konsistenz!

It's changed
I love this brand and used to love this product. Got a new bottle with the rebrand and quickly noticed that the gel was different. It was thinner and watery. Not a deal breaker, but I've noticed that the product no longer lasts all day and my hair appears dry and frizzy. I thought it was just me, but it seems like I'm not the only one who noticed a difference. I'm definitely not a fan of the new formulation.

Not the Same
After using this new bottle, it gave my curls no strong hold. I first assumed it must've been something on my end. The more I have been using it I realize something has changed with its rebrand and not for the better. It does not give you the same crunch it used to.

This was my holy grail before it changed! Used to be very lightweight but with great hold and left my curls feeling soft. The new formula is too heavy and weighs my curls down. My hair feels sticky even after using significantly less product. Please change the formula back! Im on the hunt for a new holy grail but I really miss this one!!!

Something changed :(
I've used the Curl Smith, defining styling soufflé for years. It was my go to product. I recently bought a new bottle, with the rebrand, and I'm very disappointed. Something changed. My hair routine, my water, etc… remained the exact same, but my hair barely makes it to the end of the day without getting frizzy. I'm so bummed to be on the search for a new product again when this one was so great before.

I've used this now for about 2 years and I absolutely love it! It provides a great hold and bounce for my curls without making them look greasy or weighed down, as other products do. I know everyone feels differently about the scent but i think it smells delicious. However, if you feel differently, its okay because it's not overwhelming and isn't noticeable after the first day. I have medium-long, thick, fine hair and I use no more than a quarter sized amount of product immediately after washing my hair and let it air dry.
