A: All current Crest formulations have 0.243 wt/wt % Sodium Fluoride. The differences of wt/vol % listed on the label for the fluoride ion comes from the conversion calculation which takes into account the different densities (the amount of weight of toothpaste per unit volume) of our formulations. We list by wt/vol % for regulatory reasons. Sodium fluoride protects against cavities. CPC helps to fight plaque and gingivitis, and also kills bacteria in the mouth.

Stained my teeth.
I used this mouthwash for about 3 months and it stained my teeth. My dentist had basically powewash my teeth to remove the dark staining. Since then I have stopped using the product and one month after stopping the staining has stopped.

Lost sense of taste

I dont recommend
absolutely hate this mouthwash. i used the mouthwash twice and i will not be using again, what a waste. i’m not picky with mouthwash or anything but this one leaves your tounge feeling weird all day and the tip of my tounge feels tender even after 10+ hours after use. i mean it does the job of keeping fresh breath, but if you don’t want an uncomfortable feeling in your mouth after using don’t get it.

I LOST MY SENSE OF TASTE!! Did YOU??
The bad news: You might be feeling (or lack thereof) a sensation of not being able to taste food in a normal way. I couldn't taste salt. I kept adding salt and that's just not what need I do... ever! Even spicy foods. I made the spiciest homemade sauce and was so bland AND I had to add salt. I'd heard about losing your sense of taste with COVID, but I don't have COVID. I started looking up other reason for sudden lack of taste and I came across: "Crest Pro Health" being a potential culprit of this temporary condition. The feeling is kind of like when you burn your tongue drinking too hot of a beverage. It burns the tastebuds and you can't taste for a while. Well, I've been using Crest Pro Health for about three weeks and just noticed this a few days ago. I did my research and I do believe this mouthwash is the cause. The good news: (I hope) is that I read that this condition is caused by Cetylpyridinium Chloride, which only has a negative effect on a few % who can't use it (me). More good news, I researched that this loss of taste is temporary and will disappear quickly. Stop using immediately if you're having this problem (I'm done with it as of tonight) I hope this helps and I wish you Good Luck! P.S. I love other Crest products. I use Crest toothpaste daily... for years!

Doesn't burn my mouth or make my eyes water like mouthwashes that have alcohol in them. It has a minty taste but I also taste something a little sweet/bitter. It doesn't taste bad, just minty and different. It's probably because there's no alcohol to cover it up. I used one bottle and then bought another one. If I didn't like the taste of it I wouldn't have bought another bottle.

STAINS TEETH, BEWARE.
This stained my teeth as if I drink coffee 24/7. So upsetting. I DO NOT recommend it. It should not even be allowed to be sold. I would add photos but I'm not sure it's against policy. Save yourself the trouble. I'm waiting on my dentist appointment hoping they can help me out to remove these stains. On top of the stains, it also leaves an extremely weird taste in your mouth.
