Craftsman Ratcheting Offset Multi-Bits Screwdriver CMHT68008

Working on small aircraft, there are a number of "impossible" to access fasteners due to constrained space. This little wrench is extremely compact vertically when on a faster. If there is close tolerance between an obstruction and the faster head, this little wrench gets in there. Very important... there is a wire retainer clip which captures the indent on the bit to ensure the bit is not lost as FOD in a constrained space. The thumb wheel is excellent for starting & driving the fastener.

I needed an offset phillip's head screwdriver and thought this would be perfect. However, there is a wire preventing me from inserting the screw head into the ratchet mechanism. AND THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS! Do I have a faulty unit or is there some trick I have yet to figure out?

I bought this a month ago and I’m so happy I did , these hand tools are durable and have a lifetime warranty !!

The ratchet mechanism jammed on the third use. Even for a relatively inexpensive tool this is unacceptable, particularly for an item carrying the Craftsman name.

I bought this product 2 weeks ago and have only used it twice. It broke the second time I used it, Which is unfortunate because I was excited to use it.
