Wonderful purchase for safety

We used 3/8" drill bit-worked great.

Instructions said 'drill 1/2" hole but supplied 3/8" anchors and screws. Not sure if PLASTIC anchors that came included are adequate--we hope so!

Exactly as described

This was easy to install using better anchors than came with it. Otherwise well constructed and does the job. I especially like that it doesn't need to be in the pool water. Now it is essy to get in and out of the pool.

Good, well made product. Four stars because it came with large screws and plastic hole inserts! No way could these hold the intended weight!! You will need to buy four cement bolts.

Rusting

Less than six months after installation the hand grip is covered with surface rust. I don't think this is actually stainless steel.

Wrong instruction for drill bit size!

I didn't give it 5 stars because the instruction of drill bit size is wrong. Went to store to buy 0.5 drill bit as recommended on instruction how to install the pool handrail. Drilling the 1 hole I realized that it is the wrong size. Getting the right size drill bit and adjusting caused me a lot of extra work. There should be an adjustment made to the installing instructions to avoid this.

Sturdy, nice looking hand rail for our spa.

I bought this handrail and had it installed into the concrete deck of my parents in ground spa. It is the perfect height to get in/out of their spa. They are in their 80's and had quit using the spa because they couldn't get in/out safely. Now they can. I did go buy a little heavier stainless steel bolts and mounting hardware. Not sure I really needed it but didn't want to take any chances. I would buy one again if I needed it.

SAVED A BUTT LOAD OF MONEY INSTALLING OURSELVES

I called a local company in my area to see what it would cost to buy and have installed. I about dropped the phone and found myself sounding like a hillbilly when they told me it would cost $900. I dug in my heels and decided I could do it myself. It took a little muscle and a special drill bit, but we finally got it installed. Was definitely worth the savings. This item works great!

Perfect

It was hard to decide on which handrail to buy, but the reviews and size of this one convinced me to give it a try. I've very happy with it. Not too big, but very sturdy and perfect for my elderly parents to hold onto when they come over and join us in the pool.
