We just put it together and it is leaning to one side. We are very unhappy with this purchase.

The back panel is not strong
The backboard fell apart in the storm. I thought it should be strong enough to survive the storm. That storm wasn't even a big one!

Good quality basketball stands, cheap nets
We have only had it for 2 days. So far the basketball stand is very sturdy and looks as advertised. I would recommend adding something heavy to the base for extra safety, even if the base is filled with water. The backboard also seems very sturdy. However, the net broke after a few minutes of play. The net material is extremely cheap.

Family Fun
bought this as a gift for family. It was sent directly to them, I had never seen it. They loved it! The 18 year old and 3 year old played with the height adjustable toy. It was well packaged, arrived on time, and has been in almost constant use for several months and is still in mint condition.

This is one of the best basketball hoops on the app.
One of the best basketball stands on this app. Easy to adjust the height and the backboard is very sturdy. The built in net is great and the sound it makes when shooting is perfect.

Strong, fun and easy to adjust
We bought a Yohood basketball hoop to hang in our driveway, and it's been a great addition to family fun and practice. The 10-foot height is great, but what really makes it amazing is the adjustable feature - it's easy for both adults and kids to enjoy. The assembly process was straightforward, the instructions were clear and easy to follow (took about 1.5-2 hours), and once it was set up, it felt super sturdy - it stayed put even during intense play and strong winds. The backboard is sturdy, the rim is resilient, and the base holds up even when filled with water or sand. Whether it's casual shooting practice or more serious training, this hoop has held up perfectly. Great value for the money - highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable outdoor gear!

Excellent quality
Took about two hours to assemble but it is very durable. The adjustment mechanism on it is very easy to use. I am buying this for my grandson who is going to be the next Larry Bird.

Good value for money
I've been using it for a year and it's working fine. The back panel has warped a bit due to the high temperature. I think it can last a few more years.

How to install a basketball stand at home for beginners
Home basketball hoop, medium quality. Not the sturdiest. Removable, with sand or water base. We needed a 2x4 under one side to keep it balanced/level due to the curb. Overall, a great hoop for beginners to use at home and enjoy the outdoors. Easy to install. Takes about 45 minutes for one person.

It's not 30 minutes, but it's definitely easy.
bought this to replace another Spalding hoop that took hours to set up and take down. The installation of this hoop was genius! The instructions in both the video and the printed manual were very detailed. I am a petite (5'1", 120 lbs) but athletic person and was able to unbox and start the installation by myself. There are definitely multiple steps that require two people - installing the backboard and hoop, and then positioning the backboard and pole vertically and securing them. My 80 year old, 5'9" athletic father and I had no trouble installing it (although it would have been better if either of us were taller). It took about an hour total, including unboxing, watching the video and written instructions, and then actually assembling the whole unit. All parts were packaged and labeled according to the relevant steps in the assembly. The nuts and screws were easy to tighten. The unit is very sturdy, with a large base and the pole/hoop located closer to the center of the base. I filled the base with water and also added 100 pounds of sand to the back of the base just in case since the base is located on a slightly downhill position. The lifting mechanism is very smooth and my 11 year old son can operate it easily. My son loves the sound of the backboard and says it doesn't feel like "those cheap hoops other kids use"

Great basketball stand at a great price
Very happy with this purchase. So glad I didn't pay 2 or 3 times more for a hoop. I filled the base with a gel-like substance and water and tied some straps on the back, but the ultimate goal is stability and durability. Minimize vibration and rattle. This is my biggest concern when choosing a portable or in-ground hoop. Two "negatives": Spalding claims that assembly takes no more than 30 minutes. However, I think it can be done if you memorize the entire instruction manual beforehand, have all the right tools, and decide not to use those beautiful plastic molded parts. The longest and most frustrating part of the assembly process was lining up all the holes so that the plastic parts can be installed. For the main front part, we had to drive the screws in the correct order or only 5 out of 6 would line up. This required trial and error. The second negative is that many shots, whether hit or miss, will hit the base and can go off in an unexpected direction. If you live on a busy street, be aware that I found myself having to sprint down the driveway a few times to keep the ball from falling into the road. Overall, I think this basket is a very good one at this price point.

The lesson of life is "you get what you pay for"!
You get what you pay for. This basketball stand is poorly designed and made. One of the bolt holes on the frame is completely missing and not stamped at all. Luckily I had the tools to drill it out myself, but most customers probably don't. Also, the instructions didn't make it clear that the second extension pole had to be installed before assembling the main unit if the maximum height was to be achieved. I didn't read the instructions ahead of time and ended up having to disassemble everything to install the second extension pole, a frustrating oversight. Problems started to arise after just one month of use. The base has a large cavity that was supposed to hold sandbags, but it collects rainwater, forming puddles that are prone to breeding mosquitoes. To make matters worse, the L-brackets of the backboard frame collect water and rust, dripping onto the driveway and even onto your shirt if you're making a layup. All in all, it was a disappointing purchase and, unfortunately, it's now past the return period. I strongly recommend spending a little more money on a better quality basketball stand to avoid these issues. Learn from my experience.

Feel the quality of the gym
Since I had some difficulty choosing a hoop, I'm going to go into detail here. You certainly can't go to the store and look at the 10-15, so hopefully this will be helpful. I'll discuss the product itself in the review, and then add some auxiliary equipment at the end. 1. Sturdiness: The most important thing for me is that it feels like playing with a real gym model at the gym. Our neighbor's house is not this brand, and the ball "bangs" against the backboard, and it feels like a toy version. It also shakes after hitting. This one doesn't. The ball comes off the hoop and backboard almost as well as the gym backboard. The base is very solid and there is no flex at all (see the base section below). 2. Material: The pole is steel, and the base is hard plastic (with a steel frame at the bottom). The wheels are also hard plastic. You need to fill both wheels with water to add weight. The base holds 25 gallons (I didn't measure it, but the instructions say so, and it feels about right). So the base alone weighs about 200 pounds. The backboard is actually not heavy at all (my 8 year old daughter helped me hold it while I screwed it on). The hoop is a standard BB hoop. 3. Height Adjustment: Pretty easy. I feel like any kid over 10 years old could adjust it easily. 4. Portability: The hoop is pretty heavy once the base is filled. If you want a hoop that can be easily moved, then fill the base with much less or get a different model. 5. Backboard Size: The 54" one is a good size. I don't think you need the 60". Our neighbor's hoop is 44" and feels too small, even for elementary school kids. 6. Appearance: It looks really nice. All the neighbors said it looks really nice. 7. What the kids are saying: I was curious if the neighborhood kids would use it. Of course, within 10 minutes of me setting up the hoop, they were all over it. They jumped over other not-so-great hoops in the neighborhood (which can be a bad thing if you don't want kids around). Other Concerns: These weren't important to me personally, but I know other buyers care. So, here are some issues: 1. Shipping: 3 days late. I estimated it would arrive in 7-8 days after ordering though. Not bad. I was expecting 10 days anyway. 2. Instructions: The instructions were very good. In fact, I'd say they were excellent. Almost any children's product that requires assembly will have some parts that are not 100% understandable and you can only guess. These were good. I completely understood the instructions. 3. Build Time: They said 90 minutes. This was not my experience. Granted, I was annoyed by my three kids half the time, but 90 minutes seemed like a pretty aggressive estimate. 4. Customer Service: I thought I was missing a part (turns out it was in one of the main pole pieces). They were very friendly and responded promptly. 5. Tools Required: You need a large ratchet set. If you don't have a large ratchet set, you need to buy one. The standard size ones won't work. I didn't buy the assembly parts from COSTWAY, but I should have. I didn't because we were planning to receive the product on Saturday and the assembly would be a few days later. I knew the kids wouldn't be able to wait if we received it on Saturday. The price is only $20 - pay someone to do it. It's not difficult, but if you have the money to buy this thing, $20 is not a big deal. Overall: I like how it feels to play. Almost gym-quality portable backboard. Very good. Significantly better than similar models.
