Shelf length size is not as pictured

I called before ordering & was told the shelf length was 21". The drawing shows 21". The written description says 30". The associate I spoke with said 30" was the shelf length including packaging. It is not. They are 30" & I can't use the shelf. I just called back to explain this & was hung up on!
