A: They only have to be refrigerated after opening. It can go back and forth from hot to cold as long as it’s not opened! From experience

It does not taste chalky at all and I did not experience any type of aftertaste. I mainly pour these 42 gram protein shakes into my iced coffee, instead of using milk or creamer. In doing so, I make my coffee healthier and it gets me almost half way to my daily protein goal with just one drink. These vanilla protein shakes taste so good that you can also just drink them straight from the bottle. It is very convenient when you are out and about, to purchase a Fairlife Core Power Elite protein shake. It will curb your hunger and help you feel satisfied until your next meal.
