The protein shake is easy to digest, because it isn’t too harsh or chalky and is more like a chocolate milk- genuinely enjoyable. I like that the consistency isn’t too thick, because a lot of protein shakes are. It’s hard to find 42g of protein in one single drink, so I’m happy about the benefits and that it’s actually tasty. I do think it fills me up relatively easily (likely from the amount of protein in it), but it’s great for post-workout.

The 42g of high-quality milk protein really helps with muscle repair and recovery after heavy lifting or intense cardio sessions – I genuinely feel less sore the next day. Consistency is perfect: thick and creamy like a real chocolate milkshake, never watery like some protein drinks. Mixability/solubility is excellent too – no clumps or grit even when I just shake it in the bottle, which is a huge plus when I’m in a rush leaving the gym. Smell is rich and chocolatey right when you twist the cap, exactly what you’d expect from fairlife’s filtered milk. Taste is where it shines: smooth milk chocolate flavor with no weird artificial sweetener aftertaste that plagues most high-protein RTDs. The aftertaste is clean and pleasant, just a light milky chocolate note that doesn’t linger too long. At 230 calories it’s substantial but still feels like a treat rather than a chore to drink. Hands down the best-tasting ready-to-drink protein on the market.

I’m currently on a weigh gain journey and these will make a great addition to my protein rotation. Unlike other drinks this is not chalky and instead has a deep chocolate flavor. I typically stay away from chocolate but really enjoyed this flavor. It’s a great way to add more protein to your diet without having to eat more servings of it. I really like that the packaging is easy to take on the go as you’re running out of your house or to the gym. Overall I would really recommend.

Fairlife is a great brand for milk and chocolate milk, so of course their protein shakes would be. Right from the beginning when you open it, you smell deep rich chocolate. I have not found another product that delivers so many grams of protein per serving than this, so definitely brings a lot of bang for the buck.

I will say 42 g is great. It is not as thick as a different popular protein drink. The consistency is a bit thicker than chocolate milk. Smells and taste very much like chocolate and there is no gritiness to it that you sometimes can have. I love that you can easily just bring the bottle with you, but I really liked it poured over ice.
