Wilting Before It Ever Bloomed

I ordered these roses for a Valentine's Day gift to myself to lift my lonely spirits. Right when I removed it from the box, I noticed that a few of the petals had detached from the glue. It's so depressing when, on a day celebtrating love, even artificial plants sealed within glass wither away in my presence. Not to mention that I forgot to buy batteries for it, making the lackluster gift even more reflective of the lackluster holiday
